Thefactthatweliveincommunity,inaharmonyofprojects,bringsusgreatjoy.

We cannot keep that joy for ourselves. We live in a difficult workingclass

neighborhood where many people barely have enough to survive. The

unemployment rate is high and business is stagnant. There aremany people

whoaredepressedbecauseofsocial,family,andaffectivesituations.

Ourcommunitytriestostayclosetopeoplethroughanavailabilitycomposedof

simplicity, listening, and attentiveness.We approach otherswith ourjoy and

withtheconvictionthateveryperson isasacredhistory.Manypeopletellus

howdifferentourpastoralapproach is.Afteradifficulttimebeforeourarrival,

the climate in theparisheshasbecome, aswehave been told, warmer and

morerespectful.

This, then, in allhumility, iswhatbringsaboutourjoy andourhappiness.To

thankus,theysay:Wecansensethatyouarereligious! Infact,ourstrength is

the Lord,who invitesus to livethejoyof theGospel in thedynamicof the

evangelical
