CONCLUSIONES

El PNB es un marcador diagnóstico sensible y específico en el diagnóstico de disnea aguda de origen cardiológico.

La determinación de los niveles de PNB se pueden realizar de forma sencilla y rápida (Tira Reactiva)

Los niveles de PNB confieren información pronóstica en los pacientes con ICC

La determinación de PNB ha demostrado disminuir el nº de hospitalizaciones, coste del tratamiento y por tanto, ser beneficiosa en el manejo del paciente con disnea.


Mujer de 74 años sin antecedentes de interés.Ingresada en planta de cardiología para estudio de dolor torácico de dudoso origen isquémico.Disnea intensa con aumento del trabajo respiratorio, tiraje, cianosis labial. SatO2 (FiO2 0,24): 78 %.AC: Rítmica, sin soplos.AP: Hipofonesis generalizada con sibilancias.PNB = 2200 pg/mlAsintomática al alta bajo tto médico: PNB = 368 pg/ml
