RELIEF OF SPAIN

The relief of Spain is knownfor being quite high, with anaverage elevation of 660meters, quite hilly whencompared with othercountries in Europe andsecond only to Switzerland,

Austria and the microstatesof Andorra and Liechtenstein.In mainland Spain, the reliefis built around a large centralplateau that occupies muchof the center of the IberianPeninsula and has an

average altitude of 660meters. Out of the plateau, isthe depression of theGuadalquivir River, located inthe southwest of thepeninsula, and the EbroRiver, in the northeast of thesame .
