The image of the true vine, that is, Jesus - The pressing invitation to remain in Him in order to

bear the fruit of love John 15: 1-8

A family tree illustrates how each of us belongs to a particular branch of the extended family of our

ancestors. In this gospel, Jesus speaks about himself as the vine and of us as the branches that belong on

the vine. We are the fruitful branches that are "trimmed by" the Father to produce good works in the

world. Without the vine, the branches dry up and die. But when we live by the words Jesus has given us,

we produce abundantly all that is good. Prayer: Lord, I still see the light of your Word. The healing force of

your voice still rings in the depth of my being! Thank you, O my Vine, my sap. Thank you, O my dwelling

where I can and wish to remain. Thank you, O my strength to do, to carry out every task; thank you my

Master! You have called me to be a fruitful branch, to be fruit of your love for humankind, to be the wine

that makes the heart rejoice. Lord, help me to realise this blessed and true Word of yours. Only thus can I

live truly and live truly as you are and remain. Lord, let me not err so that I wish to remain a branch in

your vine without the other branches, my brothers and sisters. It would be indeed the sourest and most

displeasing fruit. Lord, I do not know how to pray. Teach me Yourself and let my most beautiful prayer be

my life, transformed into a bunch of grapes for the hunger and the

thirst, for the joy and company of those who come to the vine, that

is, You. Thank you for being the wine of Love!

La invitación a permanecer en Él para llevar el fruto del

amor Juan 15, 1-8

Un árbol genealógico nos muestra que pertenecemos a una rama

específica de la familia extendida de nuestros antepasados. En este

evangelio, Jesús habla sobre sí mismo como la vid y de nosotros

como las ramas que pertenecen a esa vid. Somos las ramas que dan

frutos y que están "amarradas" al Padre que produce buenas obras

en el mundo. Sin la vid, las ramas se secan y mueren. Pero cuando

vivimos de acuerdo a la palabra que Jesús nos ha dado, producimos

abundantes y buenos frutos. Oración: ¡Señor, todavía tengo la luz de

tu Palabra dentro de mí; toda la fuerza sanadora de tu voz resuena

dentro de mi todavía! ¡Gracias Viña mia, mi savia; gracias mi morada

en la cual puedo y deseo permanecer; gracias, mi fuerza en el obrar,

en el cumplir cada cosa; gracias maestro mío! Tú me has llamado a

ser sarmiento fecundo, a ser yo mismo fruto de tu amor por los

hombres, a ser vino que alegre el corazón; ¡Señor, ayúdame a realizar esta tu Palabra bendita y verdadera!

Solo así, seguro, viviré verdaderamente y seré como tú eres y permaneces.

No permitas Señor, que yo me equivoque de tal modo, que quiera permanecer en Ti, como sarmiento en

su vid, sin los otros sarmientos, mis hermanos y hermanas; sería el fruto más amargo, más desagradable

de todos. ¡Señor, no sé rezar: enséñame Tú y haz que mi oración más bella sea mi vida, transformada en

un grano de uva, para el hambre y para la sed, para el gozo y compañía del que venga a la Vid, que eres

Tú. ¡Gracias, porque Tú eres el vino del Amor! 3

Each year we give recognition to all our mothers and the month of May is an appropriate time to greet them for all the help and sacrifice they have given us.
