Extra credit will be awarded to the top five class projects. The top five projects will be elected by students
through a democratic voting process. Each student will receive one vote. Bribes (not monetary) will be
permitted. Students will also have the opportunity to present and persuade classmates to vote. Votes will be
submitted anonymously with a ballot.
Before evaluating peers, as a class we will watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqh1MRWZjms
and discuss how to critique others. Students will have an open forum to give constructive critiques of the
projects. Remember when giving constructive criticism all comments should be “I statements”. Before making
comments, remember the purpose of constructive criticism is to make the project better. Ask yourself, does your
comment offer a solution to make the project better? Is your comment specific and achievable?
We will be practicing giving and receiving constructive criticism. So today, choose one project from the class.
Review your rubric to remind yourself of the project requirements. Then complete the following statements
below giving SPECIFIC feedback! It’s nice, its pretty, its cool…..this doesn’t tell me much. What specifically
