Turismo GuiadoGuided Tourism
Guided visits on footThroughout the year the Ente de Turismo de la Ciudad offers free guided tours. Every month, thematic tours are conducted on foot following the attractions of our
city such as tango, architecture, theatre, art or history.
Guided tours to sightsThree sightseeings that combine nature, history and architecture to appreciate three emblematic buildings of our city like the seat of the “House of Justice”: the tour called “Joyas del Centenario” that takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday and demands previous registration. And the visit to the Zoo at the well known Palermo neighbourhood.
The city from aboveWhen you think you know a lot about Buenos Aires, climb up a high bulding and take a look again, as for example, the Comega building, the Panamericano Hotel or the restaurant of the Club Alemán, among many others.
Literary toursThese sightseeings invites you to know more about some neighbourhoods emphasized at the work of some of the most renowned writers of the local

RecoletaHistoria, lujo y glamour / History, luxury and glamour.
Recorrido turístico
Recoleta es uno de los barrios más
exclusivos de la ciudad de Buenos
Aires; por su evolución histórica
fue tomando relevancia hasta
convertirse hoy en día en una
zona de amplio interés histórico y
arquitectónico, en especial porque
es un importante foco turístico
y cultural dentro de la ciudad, y
sede de la aristocracia porteña.
Destacamos además de
monumentos históricos, como el
de Eva Perón u Homenaje de la
Colonia Francesa a la Nación
Argentina, el Museo Nacional
de Bellas Artes, la Biblioteca
Nacional, y el Centro Cultural
Recoleta.
Recomendamos visitar el centro
cultural al lado de la iglesia del
Pilar y muy especialmente el
Recoleta Mall, recientemente
inaugurado, que con más de 50
locales de las mejores marcas
y servicio de tax free invita a
realizar todas las compras.
Por ultimo, destacamos los
espacios verdes, barrancas, flores,
jacarandaes, y palos borrachos,
cubiertos por turistas y porteños
disfrutando de la magia del lugar.
Recoleta is one of the most
exclusive neighbourhoods of the
city of Buenos Aires; its historic
evolution and importance turned
this area to be the main point
of historic and architectural
interest, among the cultural and
touristic significance. What we
can appreciate nowadays, is a
neighborhood with parks and
museums, penthouses, surrounded
by monuments and cultural centers.
This is definitely the embassies
area, the place where the 5*
hotels established and where
recently opened the Recoleta mall
that offers more than 50 local
and international brand stores,
and tax free service for tourists.
Finally is highly recommended to
walk along the parks, to enjoy the
green area, and a wide variety
of cafeterias and restaurants to
spend a hole day.

years this neighborhood devel-
opment grew so distinctively that
turned to be a touristic attraction
itself. One of the most relevant at-
tractions is the San Telmo Market,
built by architect Juan Antonio Bus-
chiazzo in 1897.
At the beggining had just one ac-
cess but today the structure allows
the visitors to use the entrances at
Defensa, Carlos Calvo, Estados
Unidos and Bolivar strreets. The
structure of the market was based
on steel pillars with a semicircu-
lar glass roof to achieve the light
of the day. Carrara marble was
used for the indoor floors that
helped to give an italian style to
the building, that at that moment
represented modernity. Inside, the
shops located around the common
area provide fish, meat, chicken,
fruits and vegetables. They coex-
ist with the antique dealers who
settled near the two entrances of
Defensa and Bolivar streets, main
attractions of these last years.
Recently named National Historic
Monument in 2001 had suffered
along its history, restorations and
changes on the structure. In this
charming place we can still enjoy
the magic and the spirit of those
years, and understand as well,
why a whole century of stories
and tales turn this touristic attrac-
tion into an artistic and cultural ref-
erence for this neighborhood.

PALERMO SOHOConstructions from the beginning of the 20th. century, young designers, streets dressed by different types of trees characterizes this part of Palermo. Palermo Soho stands
out for its wonderful furniture and design stores, that offers both native handwoven bedspreads, as the most sophisticated Indian furniture as well. Both recycled and fashioned, the demanded boutique hotels, also settled around the traditional, well known Cortazar square, located on Honduras st. with Jorge Luis Borges st. This neighbourhood is nowadays a place full of local colour with an intense activity. We specially emphazise the variety of foreign cuisine such as , mexican food, polish stews, vietnam woks, spicy mediterranean courses and obviously our regional ìlocro, ìtamalesî and ìempanadasî are for sure, the best options in town.

PALERMO HOLLYWOODWhen you take a look to the Palermo neighborhood map youíll realize that although appears as one area, in the practice there are more than one.Palermo Hollywood for example, adopts the name from the
TV channels and production companies that began to settle there. Even Francis Ford Coppola,
the famous film director, once established his own office to produce here.Nowadays is a touristic attraction itself , specially because of its old fashioned houses and cobbled streets and the gourmet offer which is wide enough to gather together pubs and discos, theaters and restaurants that established here, with an important variety of ethnic cuisine and of course our traditional grill references.

Premium. Sturla ofrece una
amplia gama de servicios, como
resultado de sucesivos cambios en
pos de un turismo que crece de
manera constante, ampliando sus
recorridos más allá de la estación
fluvial, lo que los hace hoy líderes
en el segmento.
Los deportes náuticos en esta
zona siempre fueron su principal
atractivo; y muchas colectividades
han sido representadas por sus
clubes de remo. Los paseos en
lanchas colectivas construidas en
madera y siempre tan útiles para
el desarrollo de las islas, fueron
otrora, único medio para proveer
a los isleños de sus necesidades
básicas. La diversidad de ofertas
del mercado de frutos y artesanías,
y el paseo Victorica del otro
lado del río Tigre, constituyen
un recorrido que al final invita
a descubrir el Museo de Arte de
Tigre, creado entre los años 1912
y 1913, como un espacio de
baile y esparcimiento devenido
en casino, hoy con un calendario
vasto y ecléctico.
Hoy, además se puede disfrutar del
nuevo recorrido del bus turístico
local, que invita a descubrir
los puntos más atractivos de la
ciudad, con 7 paradas, a las que
el visitante podrá acceder con un
pasaje único para utilizar todo el
día y sin límites. Como alternativas
de entretenimiento, una visita al
casino TRILLENIUM ofrece una
cantidad de actividades y horas
para ver shows, comer, disfrutar
de promociones y de las 1500
máquinas tragamonedas que lo
caracterizan. Y la opción para los
más chicos es sin dudas el Parque
de la Costa que ofrece una variada
oferta de juegos y pasaportes para

pasar todo el día. Entre la enorme
oferta gastronómica que ofrece
Tigre con parrillas y restaurantes
de cocina internacional, se
destaca el emprendimiento local
Villa Julia Suites & Resorts con
una notable cocina gourmet
que combina su oferta con un
alojamiento privilegiado por la
vista y comodidades.
Well known Tigre area is located
30 km. on the outskirts of the
city of Buenos Aires. Tigre is an
enchanted place you can choose
either to live, to spend a while, or
even to work.
There are several ways to get
there. For example, you might
book a guided tour or simply take
the train from Retiro station, where
you will arrive 50 minutes later,
after visiting the nicest places of
the northern area and ready to
spend an unforgettable day.
At this moment of the year is
highly recommended to enjoy
Tigre from the river, just sailing
on the well known catamaranes
,some of which includes food at
midday. One of the most important
local sailing companies is called
STURLA, that offers its classic and
Premium boats to navigate both
the River Plate and the Delta.
This location has a wide variety of
offers as a result of the continuous
visits of tourists who want to enjoy
this microclimate, its fresh air and
an intense sensation of relaxation.
A brand new experience is the
local tourist bus, with 7 stops
along the city. Each ticket allows
to see all the most representative
attractions with no limits of time.
Around the harbour, nautical
sports and leisure activities also
become the main attractions.
To visit the TRILLENIUM CASINO
implies a big amount of activities
and time to see the shows, to
eat, to enjoy different promos
and the 1500 slot machines that
characterizes this place. PARQUE
DE LA COSTA has a great variety
of games and this passports for
children, that allows to spend a
whole day with them.
The most traditional rowing clubs
have their head offices here.
Usually these companies organize
excursions to practice rowing or
kayaking.
Another traditional attraction is
President Sarmiento Museum, a
modest wooden house surrounded
by glass, built after several visits
to this area. He liked so much this
place that became responsible for
its development since his first visit
in 1855. It’s an interesting plan to
spend one evening in Tigre. We
suggest Villa Julia Suites& Resorts,
a stately house built in 1906 as
a private vacation French style Gentileza Surla Viajes
residence, that offers the most
charming accommodation option
and the best recommended
international cuisine. This place
is located at Victorica stroll where
you may find the best gastronomy.
At the end of the way stands the
Tigre Museum, another outstanding
building of 1912 and 1913, that
nowadays exhibit a wide list of
national and international artists.
Finally, where the locals use to
trade their diary supplies, foodstuff,
and merchandise produced on
the islands, today arises a new
Fruits market, where you may find
plants, food, clothing and furniture
made out of thiker or jute. Opens
daily from 10am. Till 7 pm.
Definetely Tigre area is as Pirelli’s
guide says: “…an enormous and
lovely aquatic country club. Cars
and streets disappear between
a complex chain of channels
and different means of sailing
transport”.

the end of the 19th. century where
more than a hundred years of the
history of the city of Buenos Aires
and the tango music took place.
