1. SET: accede a las opciones del menú y permite validar una selección.

2. DOWN: útil para navegar hacia abajo en las opciones de menú, además, reduce el nivel de volumen del teléfono. En el modo de espera presione para consultar las llamadas recibidas.

3. OUT: presione para consultar las llamadas realizadas.

4. UP: útil para navegar hacia arriba en las opciones de menú, además, aumenta el nivel de volumen del teléfono.

5. M1 y M2: una vez que guardó un número en la agenda telefónica, presione una de estas memorias para establecer una marcación rápida.

6. DEL: utilice para borrar dígitos. Durante la visualización de la agenda o consulta de llamadas recibidas o marcadas, presione para borrar el número seleccionado.

7. STORE/RECALL: permite guardar un número en las memorias M1 y M2.

8. ALARM: durante la premarcación inserta una pausa entre cada dígito marcado cuando se utiliza un conmutador telefónico. En el modo de espera permite configurar una de las 5 alarmas.

9. HOLD/RING: presione para seleccionar un timbre y el nivel de volumen.

10. FLASH: en modo de espera presione para elegir unos de los 16 niveles de contraste de la pantalla LCD. Además, es útil para otros servicios provistos por su compañía telefónica.

11. REDIAL: descuelgue el teléfono y presione este botón para volver a llamar al último número marcado.Mantenga presionado para activar/desactivar la función Baby call. La función Baby Call le permite programar un número de teléfono al que se llamará automáticamente cuando se descuelgue el auricular.

12. ALTAVOZ: útil para usar el modo de manos libres.

2. INSTALACIÓN

1 Retire la tapa del compartimento de baterías e introduzca 3 baterías AA, poniendo atención en la polaridad. Coloque nuevamente la tapa del compartimento de baterías. Note que la pantalla se activará mostrando la hora.

2 Inserte el cable de la línea telefónica al conector marcado como LINE, localizado en la parte inferior de la base.

Para conectar otra extensión alámbrica (no incluida), simplemente conéctela en la clavija EXT de la base usando un cable telefónico.

3 Conecte el auricular a la base por medio de un cable telefónico espiral.

Al recibir una llamada el timbre comenzará a sonar y el indicador rojo parpadeará. En pantalla se mostrarán las siglas NEW, información del número, fecha y hora.

En caso de que haya recibido más de una llamada de un mismo número aparecerán las siglas REP.

Una vez que la lista de registros de llamadas entrantes esté llena, el último número sustituirá al más antiguo. Para que el teléfono muestre la información de la llamada entrante es necesario que lo solicite con el servicio de identificador de llamadas de su proveedor telefónico.

3. OPERACIÓN

3.1 Contestar una llamada

Con el auricular

1 Descuelgue el teléfono y comience la conversación.

2 Cuando termine, cuelgue el auricular colocándolo en la base.

Uso del altavoz

1 Mientras esté atendiendo una llamada, pulse y coloque el auricular en la base.

2 Para desactivar el altavoz y finalizar la llamada, simplemente presione

3.2 Realizar una llamada

Con el auricular

1 Descuelgue el auricular.

2 Una vez que escuche el tono de llamada, marque el número deseado. Note que en pantalla se mostrará el proceso de marcación.

3 Cuando termine la conversación, coloque el auricular en la base.

Marcar usando el altavoz

1 Pulse

2 Cuando escuche el tono a través del altavoz, marque el númerodeseado para realizar la llamada de modo normal.

3 Cuando termine, pulse nuevamente

Contestar con el altavoz

1 Cuando reciba una llamada, presione , de este modo el altavoz se activará. Es recomendable que hable fuerte y claro a una distancia de 30 centímetros aproximadamente.

2 Para finalizar la llamada presione nuevamente

Pulse para activar el altavoz o levante el auricular.

En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione DOWN/UP para revisar las llamadas recibidas o OUT para ver las llamadas marcadas.

3.3 Consultar y marcar o borrar llamadas

Consultar

Durante la consulta de llamadas, presione una vez DEL para borrar el número visualizado o mantenga presionada la misma tecla para eliminar todos los registros.

Premarcación

1 Cuando el teléfono esté en la base, marque el número deseado.

2 Utilice la tecla DEL para borrar en caso de cometer errores.

3 Pulse para marcar y activar el altavoz o levante el auricular. El número se marcará automáticamente.

Remarcado

2 Pulse REDIAL, de este modo llamará al último número marcado.

En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione DOWN/UP para revisar las llamadas recibidas o OUT para ver las llamadas marcadas.

Devolución de llamada

1 Pulse para marcar y activar el altavoz o levante el auricular.

Presione SET para confirmar.

Use para navegar: UP (subir) y DOWN (bajar).

Presione DEL para salir del menú.

2 Presione REDIAL, cuando la pantalla muestre el mensaje PICK UP pulse para marcar y activar el altavoz o levante el auricular.

3 Mantenga presionado REDIAL, cuando aparezca en la pantalla el mensaje PICK UP parpadeando pulse para marcar y activar el altavoz o levante el auricular. En caso de haber ajustado un códigode larga distancia, esta función lo agregará al número marcado.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione SET, cuando la pantalla muestre el mensaje SET 1 DATE pulse nuevamente SET. Note que el año comenzará a parpadear.

3 Presione SET para confirmar y ajustar el mes.

4 Presione SET y repita los pasos anteriores para ajustar el día, fecha y hora.

4.1 Set 1 Date (ajuste de fecha/hora)

2 Use los botones DOWN (+) / UP (-) para editar el año.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione SET, cuando la pantalla muestre el mensaje SET 1 DATEpulse una vez UP y confirme con SET para ingresar a SET 2 CODE.

3 Presione SET para confirmar y avanzar en la configuración.

4.2 Set 2 Code (Ajustar el código de área)

2 Una vez que ingrese, la pantalla mostrará el mensaje CODE 0-----. Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) para ajustar elcódigo de área correspondiente a su localidad.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione SET, cuando la pantallamuestre el mensaje SET 1 DATE pulse dos veces UP y confirme con SETpara ingresar a SET 3 LCD.

3 Presione SET para confirmar y salir.

4.3 Set LCD (ajuste de contraste de pantalla)

2 Cuando la pantalla muestre el mensaje LCD y el valor del contraste, useDOWN (+) / UP (-) para seleccionar uno de los 16 niveles. En el modo de espera (teléfono

colgado) presione FLASH para realizar este ajuste de modo directo.

5. AJUSTES

Si tiene un conmutador y necesita marcar un prefijo para realizar llamadas, esta opción le permite establecer un código.

5.1 Ajustar código PABX

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione DEL para que en pantalla aparezca el mensaje Set PcodE.

3 En caso de que no desee ajustar un código, seleccione “-”.

4 Presione SET para confirmar y salir.

2 Use los botones DOWN (+) / UP (-) para ajustar el código PABX de 0 a 9.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione SET, cuando la pantallamuestre el mensaje SET 1 DATE pulse tres veces UP y confirme con SETpara ingresar a SET 3 FLASH.

3 Presione SET para confirmar y salir.

4.4 Set 4 Flash (ajuste de tiempo de flash)

2 Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) para seleccionar el tiempo flash deseado. Las opcionesson 100, 300, 600 ó 1000 ms.

Los 3 primeros grupos de alarmas se repetirán diariamente. Los últimos dos grupos se activarán una sola vez.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione ALARM/P. A continuación, presione esta tecla repetidamente hastaseleccionar una de las 5 memorias disponibles.

3 Presione SET para comenzar con los ajustes de hora.

5 Presione SET para confirmar y ajustar la siguiente alarma.

6 Repita los pasos anteriores para configurar otras alarmas.

5.2 Ajuste de alarma

2 Una vez que seleccionó la alarma, use DOWN (+) / UP (-) para activaro desactivarla. Cuando una alarma está activada, aparece en pantallael ícono ALM.

1 Con el auricular colgado, mantenga pulsado HOLD/RING hasta que la pantalla muestre el mensaje Pin ----.

3 En caso de cometer errores use DEL para borrar y pulse SET para confirmar.

5.3 Configuración de códigos secretos

2 Introduzca un código PIN de 4 dígitos con los botones numéricos, por ejemplo: Pin 1111.

4 Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) para ajustar la hora de alarma y presione SET para confirmar y ajustar los minutos.

Si la persona que llama introduce un código incorrecto, tendrá que volver a llamar e introducir el código secreto correcto.

Estas funciones resultan útiles sólo cuando el timbre del teléfono está desactivado. La persona que llama debe conocer el código secreto para que el TEL-235 suene.

Existen 16 tonos de llamada para seleccionar:

Activación de código secreto

1 Código secreto: Cuando una persona llame a este teléfono, escuchará el tono de llamada normal. Sin embargo, el TEL-235 no sonará. Cuando el usuario que llama escuche un tono de mayor volumen, deberá introducir el código secreto. Si introduce el código correcto, el teléfono empezará a sonar. Pulse el botón del altavoz o descuelgue el auricular para hablar.

2 Monitor remoto: Si el último dígito del código secreto es #, el teléfono pasará a modo de manos libresautomáticamente cuando la persona que llama haya introducido el código secreto correcto. Para atenderla llamada simplemente presione en el TEL-235.

4 Cuando el último dígito del código secreto sea #, por ejemplo 111#,el teléfono activará la función de monitor remoto.

1 En el modo de espera (teléfono colgado) presione HOLD/RING, en la pantalla aparecerá RING 02 db8.

5.4 Configuración del tono de llamada y ajuste del volumen de llamada

Para desactivar el tono, seleccione el modo “OFF”. Cuando el teléfono se encuentre en este modo no sonará cuando reciba una llamada.

3 Con UP o DOWN ajuste el volumen del tono.

2 Pulse HOLD / RING para seleccionar el tono que desee o desactivarlo.

4 Pulse SET para confirmar la selección y salir.

Cuando el teléfono comience a sonar al recibir una llamada, pulse DEL para desactivar el timbre.

5.5 Función no molestar durante una llamada

En modo de manos libres, pulse UP o DOWN para ajustar el volumen de manos libres. La pantalla mostrará un total de 3 niveles de volumen.

5.6 Control de volumen para altavoz (manos libres)

5.7 Selección de marcación por tonos o pulsos

1 Con el auricular colgado, mantenga pulsado * hasta que la pantalla muestrela letra P para establecer la marcación por pulsos.

2 Pulse el botón de altavoz dos veces y mantenga presionado * hasta que la pantalla LCD muestre “7” para establecer la marcación por tonos.

Puede seleccionar 3 tipos de melodía de espera.

Cuando hable por el auricular, pulse HOLD para activar el modo de espera e iniciar la reproducción de la melodía.

1 Con el auricular descolgado o en modo de manos libres, pulse HOLD/RING.

2 Pulse OUT para seleccionar la melodía de espera que desee y reproducirla.

3 Pulse UP o DOWN para ajustar el volumen de la melodía de espera.

4 Pulse HOLD para salir.

1 Pulse HOLD/RING para desactivar el modo de espera y continuar hablando por el auricular.

2 Si cuelga el auricular, accederá al modo de espera en manos libres.

Cuando hable en modo de manos libres, pulse HOLD para activar el modo de espera e iniciar la reproducción de la melodía de espera.

1 Descuelgue el auricular para hablar por el auricular.

2 Pulse el botón para salir del modo de espera y hablar en modo de manos libres.

Con el auricular colgado o descolgado, pulse M1 o M2 para marcar el número almacenado.

Con el auricular descolgado o en modo de manos libres, pulse STORE/RECALL y un dígito del 0 al 9. El número correspondiente se marcará.

5.9 Funcionamiento de la memoria

1 Marque el número que desee o busque el número entrante o saliente que desee almacenar.

2 Pulse STORE/RECALL.

3 Pulse M1 o M2.

3 Pulse un dígito del 0 al 9. En esta tecla se guardará el número marcado.

Durante el proceso de marcación, el teléfono ofrece la opción de insertar una pausa, útil para realizar llamadas a números que usan un conmutador.Por ejemplo, en la siguiente marcación 11P11, la P representa una pausa que se introduce con la tecla ALARM/P al marcar desde un conmutador.

5.11 Función de pausa

Con el auricular colgado, mantenga pulsado REDIAL durante hasta acceder a la función de llamada de emergencia para niños BABYCALL.En la pantalla LCD aparecerá BABYCALL OFF.Pulse REDIAL para activarla (ON) y luego presione SET para confirmar. En la pantalla aparecerá NO CODE (o el número de emergencia prefijado, presione DEL para cancelarlo/borrarlo), inserte el número de emergencia usando el teclado numérico y presione SET para confirmarlo.Una vez configurada esta opción, bastará con que presione cualquier tecla (excepto REDIAL), descuelgue el auricular o presione el botón de manos libres para marcar al número de emergencia automáticamente.Cuando la función de llamada de emergencia o baby call está activada, usted puede seguir contestando las llamadas entrantes descolgando el auricular.

Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todos sus componentes y mano de obra, contra cualquier defecto de fabricación y funcionamiento,

a partir de la fecha de entrega.

CONDICIONES

1.-Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente esta póliza, o factura, o comprobante de compra y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.

2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán

cubiertos por el proveedor.

3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción del producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva

la garantía.

4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer válida esta garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas

posteriormente.

ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARÁ EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:

1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.

2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.

3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V. El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva

2. INSTALLATION

3. FUNCTIONING

3 Press and hold REDIALwhen the PICK UP message flashes on the screen press to dial and activate the speaker or pick up the handset. If you have set a long distance code, this function will add it to the dialed number.

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press SET when the display shows the SET 1 DATE message press SETagain. Look that the year will begin to flash.

3 Press SET to confirm and adjust the month.

4 Press SET and repeat the previous steps to adjust the day, date and time.

4.1 Set 1 Date (date / time setting)

2 Use the DOWN (+) / UP (-) buttons to to edit the year.

3 Press SET to confirm and advance in the settings.

4.2 Set 2 Code (Adjust the area code)

2 Once you enter, the display will show the CODE 0----- message. Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) to adjust the area code corresponding to your location.

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press SET, when the display shows the SET 1 DATE message press twice the UP and confirm with SET to enter to SET 3 LCD.

3 Press SET to select one of the 16 levels.

4.3 Set LCD (screen contrast adjustment)

2 When the display shows the LCD message and the contrast value, use DOWN (+) / UP (-) to select one of the 16 levels. In the standby mode (hung phone)

press FLASH to perform this direct mode setting.

5. ADJUSTMENTS

If you have a commute and need to dial a prefix to make calls, this option allows you to set a code.

5.1 Adjust PABX code

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press DEL so that the Set PcodE message appears on the display.

3 In case you do not want to adjust a code, select “-”.

4 Press SET to confirm and exit.

2 Use the DOWN (+) / UP (-) buttons to adjust the PABX code from 0 to 9.

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press SET, when the display shows the SET 1 DATE message press thrice the UP button and confirm with SETto enter to SET 3 FLASH.

3 Press SET to confirm and exit.

4.4 Set 4 Flash (flash time setting)

2 Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) to select the desired flash time. The options are100, 300, 600 ó 1000 ms.

The first 3 groups of alarms will be repeated daily. The last two groups will be activated only once.

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press ALARM/P. Then press this key repeatedly until you select one of the 5 available memories.

3 Press SET to start with the time settings.

5 Press SET to confirm and adjust the next alarm.

6 Repeat the previous steps to configure other alarms.

5.2 Alarm setting

2 Once you have selected the alarm, use DOWN (+) / UP (-) to activate or deactivate it. When an alarm is activated, the ALM icon appears on the display.

1 With the handset hung, press and hold HOLD/RING until the display shows thePin ---- message.

3 In case of mistakes use DEL to delete and press SET to confirm.

5.3 Secret codes configuration

2 Enter a PIN code of 4 digits with the numeric buttons, for example: Pin 1111.

4 Use DOWN (+) / UP (-) to set the alarm time and press SET to confirm and set the minutes.

If the caller enters an incorrect code, you will have to call back and enter the correct secret code.

These functions are useful only when the phone ringer is deactivated. The caller must know the secret code for the TEL-235 ringing.

There are 16 ring tones to select:

Secret code activation

1 Secret code: When a person calls this phone, they will hear the normal ring tone.However, the TEL-235 will not ring. When the caller hears a higher volume tone, you must enter the secret code. If you enter the correct code, the phone will start ringing. Press the speaker button or pick upthe handset to speak.

2 Remote monitor: If the last digit of the secret code is #, the phone will switch to hands-free mode automatically when the caller has entered the correct secret code. To answer the call simply press on TEL-235.

4 When the last digit of the secret code is #, for example 111#,the phone will activate the monitor remoto function.

1 In standby mode (hung phone) press HOLD/RING, on the display will appear RING 02 db8.

5.4 Setting the ring tone and adjusting the call volume

To deactivate the tone, select the “OFF” mode. When the phone is in this mode it will not ring when you receive a call.

3 With UP or DOWN Adjust the tone volume.

2 Pulse HOLD / RING to select the tone you want or disable it.

4 Press SET to confirm the selection and exit.

When the phone starts ringing when you receive a call, press DEL to turn off the ringer.

5.5 Do not disturb during a call

In hands-free mode, press UP or DOWN o adjust the hands-free volume. The screen will show a total of 3 volume levels.

1 With the handset hung, press and hold * until the display shows the letter Pto set the pulse dialing.

2 Press twice the speaker button and press and hold * until the LCD display shows “7” to set the tone dialing.

When speaking on the headset, press HOLD to activate the standby mode and start the melody playback.

2 Press OUT to select the desired melody and play it.

3 Press UP or DOWN to adjust the volume of the waiting melody.

4 Press HOLD to exit.

2 If you hang up the handset, you will enter the hands-free standby mode.

When speaking in hands-free mode, press HOLD to activate the standby mode and start playback of the waiting melody.

1 Pick up the handset to speak through the handset.

During the dialing process, the phone offers the option to insert a pause, useful for making calls to numbers that use a switch.For example, in the following 11P11, the P rrepresents a pause that is entered with theALARM/P key when dialing from a switch.

5.11 Pause function

With the handset on, press and hold REDIAL for the BABYCALL emergency call for children.On the LCD display will appear BABYCALL OFF.Press REDIAL to activate it (ON) and then press SET to confirm. NO CODE appears on the display (or the preset emergency number, press DEL o cancel / erase it), insert the emergency number using the numeric keypad and press SET to confirm it.Once this option is configured, simply press any key (except REDIAL),pick up the handset or press the hands-free button to dial the emergency number automatically.When the emergency call or baby call feature is activated, you can continue answering incoming calls by lifting the handset.
