Number of students : 300 Teaching stuff : 35Years of studies : 3 Age of students :16-18

1st year general subjects : Greek language(Ancient and Modern), Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Economics, Civil Education, Divinity, Foreign Language (English), Physical Education and optional lessons (Computers, Natural Resources, European Civilisation, Arts)

2nd year general subjects: as above plus Computers and Philosophy and further specialization in two areas : a) Humanistic studies (Ancient Greek Sociology-Economics) and b) Science (Physics, Maths)

3rd year genera studies: Modern Greek, Computers, History Divinity, English, P.E. and three areas of specialization: a) Humanistic studies, b) Science and Technology, Medicinal studies, and c) Economy and Administration, Education.

Exams: at the end of each school year and in the third year General University Entrance Exams. High level of our students performance and very high percentages of university entrance

Syllabus

Successful participations in Competitions ( Maths, Physics, Astronomy) and participation in Sports events bearing a big number of awards and trophees.

Constant election of Teenage MPs in a Competition organized by the Hellenic Parliament annually.

Visits in places of historical and educational interest

Organisation of seminars, workshops and lectures (in the school and in external halls) addressed to the students, teachers, parents and the citizens of the town.

Activities

Participation in events for the protection of the environment and charity events.

Recent twinning (2013) between our school and the 2nd Lykeion of Ioannina and the Lykeio of Polemidia, Limassol Cyprus.

Bilateral Comenius project with Latvia on Volunteering.

Current project on the Revival of the Olympic Games in collaboration with the University of Patras.
