PLAYA DE LA BARROSA

La Barrosa es una maravilla de la naturaleza, debe su nombre al color de sus acantilados formado por arenas compactas del Cuaternario. Color rojizo, color barro, de ahí su nombre “la Barrosa”.

Presenta una forma espiralada o de bahía en forma de z, flanqueada por dos torres Almenaras (torres vigías) del Siglo XVI que la delimitan (Torre Bermeja y Torre del Puerco), tiene una longitud de 5.350 m. y una anchura de 70 m., aunque en bajamar viva equinoccial, he llegado a medir 200m. de ancho, es de arena rubia y aguas tranquilas, y el lugar donde más libre pueda sentirse nadie.

En la década de los años 50, La Barrosa era una playa virgen con un cordón dunar de unos 250 metros de ancho, y un bosque de pinos. La playa no era considerada como destino turístico, tan sólo era el lugar donde, tradicionalmente, algunos chiclaneros acudían para darse 15 baños. Baños, que según la creencia popular, servían para prevenir los catarros típicos del invierno.En los años 60, comienza a cambiar el concepto de playa, y empieza a ser considerada como lugar de baño y ocio.

La Playa de La Barrosa nos ofrece un entorno natural de especial belleza e interés, un espacio confortable, múltiples servicios y fáciles accesos, además proporciona tranquilidad por la seguridad y la limpieza, que sumado a las características intrínsecas de la playa hacen de La Barrosa, una playa ideal para disfrutar en familia. Siendo el modelo turístico de La Barrosa un turismo netamente familiar.

El Albatros se considera el ave más legendaria de todas las aves. se distribuye por los océanos Antártico, Pacífico y Atlántico. Es una de las aves voladoras de mayores dimensiones. Los grandes Albatros tienen la mayor envergadura alar de cualquier especie existente. Se alimentan de calamares, peces vivos y Kril, capturan su alimento vivo en la superficie del agua o buceando.Establecen una relación monogámica durante toda su vida, y cuenta la leyenda que cuando muere uno de ellos, el otro se eleva en el cielo hasta que deja de verse cayendo después en picado y muriendo en el camino de pena. Es considerado por los marineros como un ave de buenos augurios.

LA BARROSA BEACH

La Barrosa is amazing beach which considered one of the best on the Andalucian coast, due to its fine sand, the clearness of its water and the beautiful dunes that characterize its wild area and it’s distinguished by reddish cliffs towards one end. The 8 km length of beach is a continuation of Playa de Sancti Petri stretches past to the Torre de Puerco. The tower dates back to XVI century and formed a defense line of one of a number of watch towers of that time. This popular beach Sancti Petri stretches 2.5km from the the marina of Sancti Petri to the old watch tower, Torre de la Bermeja. This beach is split between a busy, family area, a strip of virgin sand, where you can enjoy peace and tranquility with few people around you and sand dunes. In the 50s La Barrosa was not considered as a tourist destination, it was a virgin beach with wide dunes of clean sand and plenty of vegetation with pine trees. It was popular place for Spanish holidaymakers for many years which came to enjoy long beach of virgin white sands and clear blue waters. Later in the 60s it became well known for many visitors from different countries.La Barrosa has special beauty, excellent facilities to have wonderful peaceful time and rest with family, clean water and many kinds of marine activity.

An albatross is considered as the most legendary bird of all sea-birds mainly distributed throughout the Antarctic, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. These feathered giants have the longest wingspan of any bird and they use their wingspans to ride the ocean winds and float for long distance. The Albatross has excellent eyesight as it sees it’s prey from the sky, swooping down to snap a fish, squid from the surface or sometimes even diving into the water. Both male and female when they find a mate, stick with them in pairs for life. An albatross is considered good luck by sailors.
