High Speed, Highly Accurate Rotation
● Highly accurate and reliable motors have been chosen for the table rotation on the MAM72-63V, offering the minimum indexing angle and maximum high speed positioning. High speed and high torque are inherent characteristics of the motors used.
● Due to the robust design of the 4/5th table, configured with A/C -axis scale feedback as standard, high accuracy is assured.
● To further enhance the inherent and sustained high accuracy of the machine, the counter balance cylinder on the A -axis contributes significantly over long periods of machining - even at full tilt with a heavy component loaded.

Bed Section
Coolant Tank Capacity : 600L (158 gal.)
● This system, installed at the outlet of the conveyor, captures most of the chips stuck to the conveyor plates and reduces the volume of coolant outflow.
(1) Large chips fall down at the outlet of the conveyor. The reduced area of the outlet contributes to the reduction of coolant outflow.
(2) Smaller chips are freed from the conveyor plates as they travel through the chip separation tank. Excess coolant falls into the separation tank and is then returned to the main tank.
(3) The separated chips are fed into the screw tank which drives them through the twist chute into a chip bin.
Chip Capturing System
● Protective covers feature steep 40 degree angle slopes with minimal projections to ensure the easy flow of chips and swarf.
● The twin spiral conveyors have a 106 mm (4.17 in.) diameter pitch. These are placed on the left and right hand sides of the machine base and effectively remove chips into a coolant tank situated at the rear of the machine.

● Cleaning nozzles wash the chips stuck to the filters into the chip conveyor.
● Only clean, chip-free coolant is returned to the coolant tank.
● These filters capture excess chips that escape the chip capturing system.

● The standard, double contact of the face and taper, unification of the spindle and drive key features a unique tool clamp mechanism to improve repeatability and stationary/dynamic rigidity. This results in excellent material removal rates and surface finish.
● Matsuura's Spindle Engineers work in a dedicated Clean Room complex to assure the highest standards of build quality & reliability. Our ultra precision spindles are guaranteed to have a runout of less than 1 µm (0.000039 in.) as actual measured value at the spindle nose.
● The spindle and the motor are connected by Matsuura's unique coupling. This assembly is designed to prevent the heat from being transferred from the motor to the spindle & contributes to the high accuracy of the spindle.

● A tool offset list can be created and displayed from any program. As this function is linked to the ATC and TLM operations, tool setting time can be significantly reduced and errors practically eliminated.
Offset Value List
Tool Length Measurement● Simple, on-screen instructions lead you to the
tool measurement process. The data created is automatically stored in the offset value list.
● Nine sets of M code counters are supplied for counting the number of workpieces, tool life, etc.
● You can view in real time simulation of a work piece being machined before using the program for the actual component.
● Machining programs can be automatically created by entering data in response to on-screen prompting. Once entered, this data can be displayed as a 3D solid model.
● The G10 conversion screen offers a function for converting work co-ordinate shift values to a program using G10 (programmable data input).
● General periodic inspection and oil inspection intervals are shown on the screen in relation to the machine operating time.
● The center of any workpiece can be detected and measured by following the on-screen instructions. The workpiece data will automatically be set in the co-ordinate value list.
● All alarm messages are recorded into the control memory, along with the time and date.
● On-screen graphics clearly inform the user of the ATC / APC's condition, position and motion during recovery operation.
