(Veracruz, Veracruz, 19 de septiembre de 1973) es el Gobernador Constitucional del Estado

de Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave para el periodo 2010-2016.Nació en el Puerto de Veracruz,

aunque durante su infancia creció en Córdoba, Ver. Es hijo de Javier Duarte Franco, quien

fuera administrador de empresas, ganadero y docente de la Universidad Cristóbal Colón de

Veracruz -fallecido en el temblor de 1985 en la Ciudad de México- y de María Cecilia de

Ochoa Guasti.

Está casado con Karime Macías Tubilla, doctora en Economía y Presidenta del DIF estatal, y

son padres de tres hijos, Javier, Carolina y Emilio.
