Mediatrices de un triángulo

Las mediatrices de un triángulo son las mediatrices de sus lados.

(Recta perpendicular al segmento por su punto medio)

Circuncentro

El circuncentro de un triángulo es el punto de corte de las tres mediatrices.

Está a la misma distancia de los tres vértices.

Circunferencia circunscrita a un triángulo

La circunferencia circunscrita al triángulo es la que tiene como centro el circuncentro y como radio la distancia del centro a uno de los vértices.

Pasos a seguir en Geogebra:

Deja la pantalla en blanco eliminando la selección VISUALIZA los EJES y la CUADRÍCULA.

(Sólo tienes que pulsar el botón derecho del ratón y quitar la selección)

Paso2

Traza un triángulo eligiendo 3 puntos.

Para cerrar tienes que pulsar otra vez sobre el primero.

Paso3

Elige Mediatriz y traza las 3 mediatrices.

Para ello debes pulsar sobre cada uno de los segmentos que componen el triángulo.

Paso 4

Elige punto de Intersección y marca dos de las mediatrices, se mostrará el circuncentro.

Paso 5

Elige circunferencia a partir de su centro y de un punto de su perímetro, es el icono que aparece por defecto.

Pulsa sobre el circuncentro y uno de los vértices del triángulo.

Ya tienes la circunferencia circunscrita.

Paso6

Arrastra un vértice cualquiera del triángulo. Verás como las tres mediatrices se siguen cortando en el un punto, el circuncentro y la circunferencia circunscrita sigue pasando por los tres vértices.

Paso 7

Comprueba que cuando es acutángulo el circuncentro está dentro del triángulo, si es rectángulo está en el centro de la hipotenusa y si es obtusángulo está fuera del triángulo.

The CIRCUMCENTER

The circumcenter is the center of the circle such that all three vertices of the circle are the same distance away from the circumcenter.

Thus, the circumcenter is the point that forms the origin of a circle in which all three vertices of the triangle lie on the circle.

Thus, the radius of the circle is the distance between the circumcenter and any of the triangle's three vertices.

It is found by finding the midpoint of each leg of the triangle and constructing a line perpendicular to that leg at its midpoint.

Where all three lines intersect is the circumcenter.

The circumcenter is not always inside the triangle.

In fact, it can be outside the triangle, as in the case of an obtuse triangle, or it can fall on one of the legs of a triangle, as in the case of a right triangle.
