STYLE AND FUNCTIONALITY.Eurocargo is robust, dynamic and modern.The new front with its imposing grille features the EUROCARGO and IVECO logos with plenty of space between them to let you add your own company logo.The new design plastic bumper is available in standard dark grey or optionally finished to match the cab body.A standard dark grey metal bumper is also available for mixed road and site use and is standard on 4x4 models. The cab sides have also been redesigned. The sleeper cab incorporates storage compartments on both sides, accessible from inside and outside via electrically operated access hatches. PRACTICALITY, SAFETY AND SECURITY.Inside the cab, all the most frequently used push-buttons are grouped together in easily accessible positions.With the new Eurotronic automated gearbox you can shift semi-automatically using a steering column stalk, which is easily operated without having to take your hands off the wheel.When applicable the manual gear lever retains its position on the dash for optimum ergonomics and easy cross cab access.To improve productivity, reliability and safety at the same time, the new PTOs are managed by an expansion module ECU and operated electrically by a push-button on the dash.A choice of new electrically operated PTOs offers a range of transmission ratios and torque ratings up to 1000 Nm.For even greater practicality and protection, Eurocargo uses a single newly designed key to start the engine and to open the doors and fuel cap. Central locking complete with remote control is available as an option, and an engine immobilizer incorporated in the ignition key is standard for enhanced security.

ERGONOMICS.The innovative steering wheel features anatomic hand grips and is adjustable for rake and reach to let you find your ideal driving position. Thanks to an increased diameter (470 mm), less effort is now required to steer the vehicle. The steering column controls have also been rationalised and are now grouped into only two stalks.The interior door panels have been redesigned to provide practical and comfortable armrests incorporating the electric window and mirror controls.The instrument panel and LCD display visualises all relevant information and can keep fuel level, fuel and AdBlue consumption, service schedules, trip times and average speeds, etc., constantly under control.The dash provides a complete overview of vehicle status in real time, simplifying fleet management and ensuring the highest level of safety by enabling the driver to intervene immediately in the unlikely event of a problem.The new optional satellite navigation system is installed on top of the central dashboard console where it is clearly visible without having to take your eyes off the road ahead.

ORGANISATION OF SPACE.Eurocargo offers all the comfort of a long distance truck plus plenty of well organised space to keep everything tidy and instantly accessible. Storage compartments are located in convenient and easily accessible positions around the cab. The interior door panels are fitted with high capacity pockets. Two convenient compartments are located on either side of the steering column and are ideal for storing those small items you always need to hand. The above screen storage unit houses other extremely functional compartments: four (two closed and two open) in the high roof cab and two (one closed and one open) in the standard roof version. Finally, another storage compartment on the passenger side provides extra space for paperwork and documents.Above screen storage on the drivers’ side also houses the tachograph and optional radio.

All the strength of a heavy chassis but with less weight.

STRENGTH WITHOUT WEIGHT.The longitudinal beam type chassis is made at Iveco’s Brescia plant using exactly the same high tensile strength steel, treatments and processes that are used in the Stralis.When Eurocargo was introduced back in 1991 it immediately established new standards for medium trucks for the strength and versatility of its chassis. The new Eurocargo has inherited the same key features, based on a tried and tested parallel beam chassis in special steel. The chassis has a completely unobstructed top of frame and accommodates body lengths from 4,135 to 10,550 mm.A cab shell in galvanised steel - impact, stress and corrosion resistant – makes it an extremely strong structural component and a safe and protective working environment for driver and passengers too.Eurocargo offers a choice of suspensions, including parabolic, multileaf and air (rear or front and rear) with ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension) to adjust and maintain chassis height.A wide range of options and equipment lets you customise your vehicle according to your needs, while maintaining safety and comfort under all conditions.

The new Eurocargo has been completely redesigned to offer even more advantages.For example, Eurocargo now means lower than ever running costs. Thanks to SCR technology, fuel consumption is about 5% lower than that of an equivalent EGR engine.The automated gearbox offers even greater reductions in consumption - just as an experienced driver would - by constantly selecting the right gear and changing up and down at exactly the right moment according to load, speed and slope.Service intervals are the longest in the medium truck class: engine oil changes are only required every 80,000 km while gearbox oil only needs changing every 300,000 km.

ENGiNES

SCR TECHNOLOGY FOR LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION.Rising fuel costs are the main concern for truck operators all over the world. In addition to reducing impact on the environment, the SCR technology incorporated in Iveco’s tector engines, cuts running costs, extends oil change intervals and improves reliability. Unlike EGR, SCR engines do not recirculate exhaust gases to the combustion chamber and, more importantly, boast 5% better fuel consumption and CO

2 emissions.

THE FIRST WITH E5 ENGINES. AND NOW EEV VARIANTS AS STANDARD.Eurocargo is equipped with two engine versions: the tector 4 engine (4 cylinders, 3.9l), delivering 160 and 180 HP, and the tector 6 engine (6 cylinders, 5.9l) offering four power options from 220 to 300 HP.Maximum torque goes from 530Nm at 160 HP, to a massive 1050Nm for the 300 HP engine. All versions of the tector, which was launched in 2001 and completely renewed in 2006, feature state-of-the-art common rail injection systems. Advanced technology means advanced performance and the highest standards in refinement and ecology, too. Eurocargo was the first medium truck to conform to Euro V standards and will now also conform to EEV (Enhanced Environmentally-friendly Vehicle) standards - even stricter than Euro V. Eurocargo will satisfy the new EEV standards simply by adopting SCR technology, without the installation of additional particle filters.

FLEXIBILITY = SAVINGS + DURABILITY.The secret lies in the flexibility of Eurocargo’s engines (specially developed and produced by Fiat Powertrain Technologies): constant, high torque over a wide rev band means a smoother drive, fewer gear changes and greater efficiency.

CHANGE LESS TO CONSUME LESS.Gear usage plays a major role in determining the performance and consumption of any truck. The Eurocargo solution is to choose highly flexible engines, that reduce the number of times you have to change gear, and to offer a growing selection of automatic and automated gearboxes.The new ZF Eurotronic 6-speed automated gearbox (that lets you change gear from a stalk on the steering column) is a new addition to the Eurocargo range and is standard on all 4x2 versions (from 7 to 18 tons). These new gearboxes significantly reduce consumption and service costs: an electronic management system automatically engages the right gear to protect the engine against over-speed and reduces clutch wear.Allison torque converter automatic gearboxes are now also available for 7.5 to 18 ton versions, covering the entire 4x2 range. These gearboxes offer superb comfort around town, where stop & go driving is the norm. When you consider that an average day’s driving around a large city means changing gear around 1,200 times, it’s easy to see how much energy and stress these gearboxes save.The latest ZF manual gearboxes (5, 6 and 9 speeds) are lighter and feature a recalibrated synchro system that makes gear shifting easier than ever, ensuring a longer working life from all gearbox components.In addition to choosing from a wide range of gearboxes, you can also select the rear axle drive ratio most suitable to your operations. The higher ratios are ideal for high speed extra-urban driving while the lower ratios represent the best choice when maximum traction is needed - as with waste compactor trucks and “K” series tippers.

braking systemAll Eurocargo 4x2 versions have disc brakes on all axles, with improved discs and pads on versions between 7 and 10 tons. The braking system is air hydraulic on the 7 to 10 ton range and full air only on the 12 to 19 ton range. All versions are equipped with an exhaust brake as standard

COMPLETE RELIABILITY.A technically advanced braking system means greater safety on the road.Every model in the Eurocargo range is fitted with an exhaust brake as standard. Operating mode (whether the exhaust brake is activated simply by releasing the accelerator pedal or by pressing the brake pedal) is selectable by the driver. Versions from 7 to 10 tons are fitted with air hydraulic service brakes, while versions from 12 to 18 tons are fitted with a full air brake system.Braking system components have been thoroughly redesigned on all versions from 7 to 10 tons. The discs are now thicker and larger in diameter and the pads have a thicker friction lining giving 35% more volume for enhanced safety and reduced service costs.

SAFETY FIRST.On a commercial vehicle, safety means a lot of things. It means safety for the driver and his passengers, for other drivers and pedestrians around him, for the load being transported and for the truck itself.This is why Iveco has done its best to improve every aspect of safety. We have improved passive safety by creating cabs offering better crash protection; we have improved active safety by optimising road holding and fitting the best brakes in the medium truck class; and we have improved preventive safety by giving drivers a more comfortable cab to reduce fatigue and stress.ABS is standard equipment on all models. Other electronic safety systems are available upon request. Options include ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) throughout the 4x2 range to facilitate starting on slippery surfaces and reduce tyre wear by optimising traction, and ESP (Electronic Stability Program), available for all models in the 12 to 18 ton range, to distribute braking force between the wheels, helping to ensure vehicle stability.

Eurocargo is also fitted with warning buzzers to remind you to put your seat belt on at the start of your journey and to warn you if the handbrake is not engaged when you open the door.

EUROCARGO 4X4 A protagonist off-road too: new 4WD versions for the most challenging routes.

Designed for the toughest off-road missions, Eurocargo 4x4 incorporates special structural protection systems that distinguish it from its 4x2 sister versions: a higher chassis, steel bumper, retractable access steps, special radiator guard, retractable rear under-run protection bar and standard headlight protection grilles.Once again, however, Eurocargo’s strength lies in its versatility: ultra-low exhaust emissions and an excellent steering angle (40° to 48° depending on tyres) allow the Eurocargo 4x4 to operate just as easily in and around town.

DESIGN, FUNCTIONALITY AND PERFORMANCE.Eurocargo 4x4 stands out not only for its robustness and reliability, but above all for its agility on gradients and over obstacles, its traction and its manoeuvrability, even under the toughest conditions.The new Eurocargo 4x4 offers the same comfort and functionality as the 4x2 versions to specialist operators (public utilities, construction sites, etc.).Compared to the previous 10 and 14 tonne versions, gross vehicle weight has risen to 11.5 and 15 tonnes respectively, and the 3,240, 3,690 and 3,915 mm wheelbase variants have been joined by a longer 4,150 mm variant.

In addition to the day cab, the 4x4 is now also available with a standard roof sleeper cab.

The new ZF 6-speed manual gearboxes are equipped with Servoshift for smooth and easy action even under tough operating conditions.

Eurocargo 4x4 is equipped with Tector 6 cylinder engines of 220 or 250 HP in the 11.5 tonne version and 250 or 280 HP in the 15 tonne version.

Permanent four wheel drive is delivered by a centrally mounted differential that distributes drive between the front and rear axles. You can even select a high or low transmission ratio to suit operating conditions (on/off-road). All differentials incorporate a manually operated diff-lock to maximise traction over tough and slippery terrain (standard on front, rear and central differentials). The Eurocargo 4x4 is fitted with a hub reduction front axle and is available on either single or twin rear wheels. Braking action is provided by simplex drum brakes on the front axle and duplex brakes on the rear. Heavy duty multileaf suspension is standard.

HIRE PURCHASE: A TAILOR-MADE SOLUTIONHire Purchase is popular with operators looking to acquire ownership of the vehicle. It can cover up to 100% of the vehicle’s selling price and enables you to take delivery of the asset straight away, but with payments spread over the life of the vehicle and the option of keeping the asset at the end of the term for a nominal fee. Payments can be tailored to suit the cash flow needs of your business, making budgeting easier as the payment structure is agreed with you at the outset. Acquiring new vehicles under a Hire Purchase agreement also has tax advantages, in that you claim the writing down allowances and the interest elements of the repayments are allowable against taxable profit.

FINANCE LEASE: YOUR MULTIPLE BENEFITSFinance leases enable you to lease Iveco vehicles without making a capital outlay that impacts upon your balance sheet, allowing you to dedicate your financial resources to your core business. It means that vehicles are hired to you for a fixed period without the option of ownership, and at the end of the primary period you may choose to continue to rent the asset for a further period at a nominal rate or to act as an agent in its disposal. This means you have the option to sell the vehicle on our behalf and keep the majority of the proceeds. Furthermore, for Finance Leases of five years or less, as Iveco Capital remains the owner of the asset, we claim the writing down allowance and the benefit is passed to you in your rental payments. Your cash flow is eased still further because you pay VAT on the monthly repayments, not on the principal purchase cost. In addition, you claim tax relief on the rental based on the finance charge and depreciation charge through your profit and loss account.

OPERATING LEASE: ONE RENTAL, MANY ADVANTAGESAn Operating Lease is a financial agreement where the asset is treated as an off balance sheet item and Iveco Capital retains ownership of it. Customers selecting this option agree to specific usage parameters for the vehicles at the outset - and assuming these do not vary significantly, the monthly payments and interest are fixed for the duration of your contract. The prime advantage of this arrangement is that rentals are significantly lower than under a Finance Lease, because the vehicle’s residual value is included in the transaction. At the end of the agreement you can choose to extend the agreement or simply return the vehicle to us. For Operating Leases of five years or less, we have the legal and tax title to the asset allowing us to make effective use of writing down allowances, which we pass on to you within the rental. In addition, you claim tax relief on the whole rental amount through your profit and loss account. Your cash flow is eased still further because you pay VAT on the monthly repayments, not on the principal purchase cost.
