    Bath University is currently the best University in the country for2011/12. It is campus to some of the best athletes in the world,with the likes of Dai Green (400m hurdler) and JasonGardner(Sprinter) training their. Even Dennis Bergkamp(Footballer) went to University there. Two thirds of Bath'sprofessional athletes are ranked in the top ten nationally,

    including over a third in the top five! Bath University offer a wide range of facilities, including; 25m &

    50m swimming pools, 110m indoor track, Indoor throwing andjumping sports hall, Dojo, Astroturf, Sports Hall, Weights room,Sports Hall (for Badminton, netball etc.). You can find mostsports at the University like Basketball, Netball, Badminton,

    Tennis, Judo, Karate, Jitsu, Football, Rugby Union, Field Hockey,Lacrosse, and American Football to name a few. Bath University currently has 13,959 students attending,

    with 9,913 of them undergraduates and 4,046 of thempostgraduates.

    training to students, aswell as healthcare (access

    Judo athletes have access to world class facilities at Bath

    University For starts, they have access to a new state-of-the-art Dojo built

    especially for them. As well as this, they have a running track outside and inside for

    fitness training. They will also use the weights room a minimum of three times a

    week. They will have access to the physio and medical treatment centre. Also, a caf is available for lunch.

    Judo at Bath University only has one head coach, Juergen Klinger,although he has assistant coaches aiding him. To be a Judo coach, youdont need a degree of any sort, just experience. The coaches will alwaysgive the athletes exercises to complete every training session.

    Juergen Klinger is the head coach for Judo and does everything himself.He provides leadership and experience to the assistant coaches, as well as

    expert coaching to athletes. He was the regional coach for Lower Saxonie from 1982 2004; he was a

    coach at the Olympic Training Centre in Hannover from 1990 2004 andwas Assistant coach for the German Judo Federation from 1990 2005.

    Juergen has been a coach since 1979 and came to Team Bath in 2006where he became Judo head coach.

    He originally coached in Cologne, Germany, which is also where he gothis coaching academic degree.

    Famous Judo players he has coached are Stefan Freudenberg, FrankWieneke, Anja von Rekowki and Katrin Beiroth.

    His method in teaching is very effective, because he does everythinghimself (coaching, strength + conditioning etc.) so he knows what levelthe athlete is at and what to do to help him/her improve.

    Judo players have available to them, a team of highly-qualifiedtherapists and practitioners that can offer them cutting edgeservices. Also, physiotherapy, sports massage, strength &conditioning, physiological & fitness testing, video analysis,sports psychology, sports nutrition, injury problems, health &fitness, recreational sportspeople & clubs, elite athletes &professional clubs and corporate services.

    Juergen, the Judo coach said that he uses Strength &Conditioning, but does it himself.

    This effectives the performance of the Judo athletes a lot andhelps them to improve their game from the training methods,technique, progression and programme planning. S+C trainingis done one-to-one with coach and athlete to help maximise

    the training and sports performance.

    Judo have recently been given 7.6 millionfunding from UK Sport, with another 1.3million given to its Paralympic programme.This forms part of the 292 million given toSports in the UK by UK Sport ahead of theLondon Olympics.

    Bath University provide world class facilities andtraining programs for Judo players to help them intheir quest to become worlds best. They have a worldclass coach aiding them as well. The facilities on showfor Judo players are one of the best in Europe and thebest in the UK. A gym is available with every piece ofequipment imaginable, as well as a newly built Dojo totrain in. The track is also used for sprinting drills. Judo

    players at Bath University are more likely to go on andbecome world class players because of the facilitiesavailable.

    Badminton is one of many sports playedat Bath University.

    Theyhost one of Badminton Englandstwo High Performance Centres.

    They also have an impressive track recordof developing players that have gone on

    to represent England at senior level. Bath University have hosted international

    and national competitions.

    The state of the art facilities (sprungwood floors in both the main Sports Halland the Founders Hall) are ideal forperformance players and are perfect as avenue for badminton tournaments at alllevels.

    Bath University have many facilities that badmintonplayers can use.

    They have 3 large indoor sports hall where badmintoncourts can be set up for their use.

    The gym is also available for their use when needed. The caf is available for lunch.

    Also, the physio and medical treatment centre isavailable for injury treatment.

    One coach at Bath University is Peter Bush and is theHead Badminton Coach.

    He was born in 1967 in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. He has previously coached Richard Vaughan, who is

    world no.15 and Commonwealth games bronzemedallist (2002). He also coached Nick Kidd who wasNational Mens singles champion.

    When a player, he was English number 2 in 1993, andworld number 31 in 1991.

    His coaching is very effective as he gets the players towork on weaknesses and gives different exercises toinjured players. He works in partnership with the highperformance centre.

    Strength + Conditioning and Physio are combined tomake more of an effect.

    Badminton players have available to them, highlytrained therapists to help overcome injuries and keepthem fit between training and competitions.

    They also have access to the sports nutritionists whocan give them advise on what to eat and when to work

    with the athletes demand of training.

    This all helps them to get physically ready forcompetitions as they are treating their bodies right.

    Badmintons 2012 program for elite athleteshas been awarded 8.6 million funding fromUK Sport. This is to help development of theseplayers.

    It is also for development in participation leadingup to London 2012, trying to involve more peoplein Badminton.

    Bath University provide state of the art facilities andtraining programs for Badminton players to help thembecome worlds best and get the gold medal at majorcompetitions (like London Olympics 2012). They have

    a world class coaches aiding them in that journey. Thefacilities on show for Badminton players are one of thebest in Europe and the UK. Access to facilities such asthe gym large sports halls help them massively to trainand keep fit. Badminton players at Bath University

    very likely to go on and become world class playersbecause of the facilities available to them. Also,sponsored players will get all their equipment for freeand get the best quality to help them as well.

    All around, sport at Bath University is one of the best inEurope and offer world class services in all sports playedtheir. This is mainly because they hire the mostexperienced coaches who know what they need to for thatsport. Bath University offer sport for everyone; recreational

    players, young people, students and performance athletes.Their Sports Training Village is known as one of the best inthe UK. They also offer state of the art facilities for a rangeof sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Football, Judo,Netball and many more. Facilities include swimmingpool, athletics track, indoor sports halls, shootingrange, dojo, and many more. The University attracts a lotof talented athletes, like Dai Green, Amy Williams. EvenDennis Bergkamp was a student there.

    So overall, Id say they have one of the best Universitys inEurope with all the features and coaches available for you.
