My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

Each year on Pentecost Sunday we celebrate the Lord Jesus sending down His Spirit upon the Apostles – making them His mighty witnesses and missionaries to all the nations. We have been Confirmed in that same Spirit and we recognize that the gift of Jesus is not ours to keep solely for ourselves but rather is meant to be shared with others.

St. John reminds us that to know Jesus is to love him; and that to love Jesus is to love our neighbor. The authentic Christian lives his love for Jesus by bringing Jesus - His life-giving touch - to a neighbor in need. To reach out to someone in Jesus sounds daunting. We might wonder to whom we should go and what we should do. And our wonderment might keep us from doing anything at all.

Help is at hand! In this Ministry Directory you have the opportunity to visit with our various groups, to learn more about their work and the people they serve. You will also find contact information should you want to investigate further. There is certain to be at least one group that can help you to bring Jesus to the lives of others.

Remember that as parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, we are asked to commit each year to being involved in at least one parish group or ministry. Jesus is essential for the salvation of the world and as a member of His body, you are too!

Mi Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,

Cada año en el domingo de Pentecostés celebramos al Señor Jesús enviando su Espíritu sobre los Apóstoles – haciéndolos sus poderosos testigos y misioneros a todas las naciones. Nosotros hemos sido confirmados en el mismo Espíritu, y reconocemos que el don de Jesús no es nuestro para quedarnos con el para nosotros mismos, sino que está destinado a ser compartido con otros.

San Juan nos recuerda que conocer a Jesús es amarlo; y que amar a Jesús es amar a nuestro prójimo. El auténtico cristiano vive su amor por Jesús llevando a Jesús - Su toque vivificante - a un vecino necesitado. Llegar a alguien en Jesús suena desalentador. Podríamos preguntarnos a quién debemos ir y lo que debemos hacer. Y nuestro asombro podría impedir-nos hacer nada en absoluto.

¡La ayuda está a la mano! En el este D irectorio de Ministerios usted tiene la oportunidad de visitar nuestros diferentes grupos de la parroquia para conocer más sobre su trabajo y las personas que atienden. También encontrara información de contacto en caso que usted desea investigar mas a fondo. Seguro que habrá por lo menos un grupo que puede ayudarle a llevar a Jesús a las vidas de otros.

Recuerde como miembro de la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes se nos pide que nos comprometamos cada año a participar en por lo menos un grupo o ministerio de la parroquia. Jesús es esencial para la salvación del mundo y como un miembro de su cuerpo, ¡usted también lo es!

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action. Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects.

From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other purely local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.

If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of more than 1.8 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we’d like to meet you and invite you to join us.

Young Once Ministry Ministerio Jóvenes una Vez

Couples for Christ Parejas para Cristo

Couples for Christ seeks to raise up Christian families under the lordship of Jesus Christ. On going activities include small prayer cell meetings, daily community devotions at 6 pm by Prayer Warriors, scriptural teaching by Unit Head leaders, and sharing the gospel through evangelization. Couples for Christ is a pro-life advocate which will defend life as a gift from God.

CFC members are active participants in parish life at Our Lady of Lourdes CFC reaches out to families through its various ministries: Couples for Christ, Handmaids of the Lord, Youth for Christ, Kids for Christ, Singles for Christ, and Servants of the Lord.

Marriage Encounter Retreats are offered to help couples improve and renew their relationship. CFC participates in annual national conferences, and assists with a movement to defend the poor, the sick, and victims of natural calamities.

“Couples for Christ” busca levantar familias cristianas bajo el señorío de Jesucristo. Las actividades incluyen pequeñas reuniones de oración, devociones diarias en comunidad a las 6 pm por los Guerreros de Oración, enseñanzas de las escrituras por los Lideres y compartir el Evangelio a través de la evangelización.

“Couples for Christ” aboga pro-vida lo cual defiende la vida como un regalo de Dios. Sus miembros son activos en la vida parroquial de Nuestra senora de Lourdes y alcanza a las familias a través de sus varios ministerios: Siervas del Señor, Jóvenes por Cristo, Niños por Cristo, Solteros por Cristo y Esclavos del Señor.

Los Retiros de Encuentros Matrimoniales son ofrecidos para ayudar a las parejas a mejorar y renovar su relación. CFC participa en conferencias anuales y asiste con un movimiento que defiende a los pobres, los enfermos ylas victimas de desastres naturales.

This group is for all retired people about age 60 and up to join us for a variety of activities and entertainment including painting, drawing, music, dance and exercise, just to name a few. If some of you have a skill such as knitting, crochet, jewelry making, art and craft, etc, we appreciate and encourage you to share your talent with our group.

Este grupo es para personas retiradas de 60 años o más a pasar un rato de esparcimiento en diversas actividades tales como pintura, dibujo, música, baile, ejercicios, solo por nombrar algunos. Spirituality Children of the Mother of God Espiritualidad Hijos de la Madre de Dios

The way of life is what gives identity, the identity of Christ, who Is who He is because He is God. If the Christian is a Christian is because he or she is like Christ, if not cannot be called a Christian. He or she might be a false Christian or a pseudo Christian, but not a Christian because neither is or acts like Christ.

“By this all shall recognize you are my disciples: if you have love for one another” (John 13:35)

Join us in living in the style of Jesus Christ.

Es el Estilo quien da identidad, el de Cristo, quien Es el que Es porque es Dios . Si el cristiano es cristiano es porque es como Cristo, de lo contrario no es cristiano. Puede ser un falso cristiano o pseudo cristiano, pero no es cristiano porque no es ni obra como Cristo.

“En esto conocerán que son mis discípulos, en que se amen los unos a los otros” (Juan 13,35)

Escoge Ministerio de Evangelización

Escoge is a Ministry of Formation and Evangelization. The purpose of this Ministry is to go deep in our Faith, to evangelize with the Word of God, to be missionariesof the Lord. And all this we do through talks, activities and our retreats.

Escoge is founded in the Salesian spirituality (D. Bosco) because the salesian sees him or herself as a life member of the living Church, working in communion with all: lay person, priests, religious. The patron of the Ministry is Saint Lorenzo whose feast is on August 10th.

Escoge es un Ministerio de Formación y Evangelización. El propósito del Ministerio es profundizar en la fe, evangelizar la palabra de Dios, ser misioneros del Señor. Y todo esto lo realizamos a través de charlas , dinámicas y de nuestros retiros.

Escoge está fundamentado en una espiritualidad Salesiana ( Don Bosco), porque el salesiano se ve a si mismo como miembro vivo de la iglesia viva, trabajando en comunión con todos: seglares, sacerdotes, religiosos y laicos comprometidos. El Patrón del Ministerio es San Lorenzo que se celebra el 10 de agosto.

This group uses the power of walking and running to strengthen the spiritual bonds of the community by providing an opportunity to journey together in prayer and sharing one mile at the time.

In addition our group aims to improve the physical, emotional and social health of the individuals that participate.

We teach courses that effectively prepare every Catholic to carry out the mission of our Church: to evangelize and be witnesses of Jesus in our lives. We wish to confirm once more that the task of evangelizing all people constitutes the essential mission of the Church” (Pope Paul VI, Evangelii Nuntiandi, 1974).

Although categorized as a parish ministry, the School of Evangelization (SOE) is really an institution of learning and evangelization development. Under the direction of Comunidad Siervos de Cristo Vivo, a lay movement of the Archdioceses of Miami. We teach three courses in English: Philip, Isaiah, and Paul.

Our objective is to form many evangelizers in our parish, in our homes, in our places of work, all working together to create a new consciousness in our Church, following the instructions we received from Jesus Christ when he said: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.” Participants interested in becoming part of SOE must first complete the 3 courses.

Están bienvenidos todos los adultos mayores de 18 años que hablen idioma Español y que tengan el llamado a la enseñanza y a la formación de otros.

Para integrarse es necesario completar los tres cursos del ciclo básico (Felipe, Isaías y Pablo), tener la vocación de enseñar y el compromiso de continuar con su formación en la Comunidad Siervos de Cristo Vivo, nuestra Escuela madre.

Nuestra misión es formar evangelizadores y formadores de evangelizadores de la Buena Nueva. Un evangelizador debe ser un testigo alguien quien ha experimentado un encuentro personal con Cristo.

Somos llamados a evangelizar con nuestro ejemplo y testimonio en nuestros hogares, trabajos, y comunidades. La Escuela de Evangelización es responsable de dictar los cursos del ciclo básico, mas algunos cursos adicionales como Koinonia y El Secreto de Pablo , a nivel parroquial. La Comunidad Siervos de Cristo Vivo ofrece mas de 30 cursos y talleres.

“Cursillos” is a movement of the Church that makes possible to live and coexist what is fundamental to the Christian life; helps one to describe one as a human being who makes possible the creation of groups that will evangelize the environments.

A “Cursillo” doesn’t pass, one lives it. It is an Experience that begins on a Thursday night and goes all the way until Sunday finishing with the “Closing”. Many have describe “Cursillos” as the “Cruise of the Soul” or “The best detergent for the Soul”. What is for sure is that “cursillos” allows you to discover o rediscover the love of Christ to share it with your brothers and sisters. Look Forward to see you! De Colores!

Cursillos de Cristiandad es un Movimiento de Iglesia que, mediante un método propio, posibilita la vivencia de lo fundamental cristiano, ayuda a describirse cada uno como persona y posibilita la creación de grupos que vayan fermentando de Evangelio los ambientes.

Un cursillo de Cristiandad no se “pasa” si no que se “vive”. Es una experiencia que empieza un jueves en la noche con la “despedida del cursillo” y se extiende hasta el domingo terminando con la “clausura”. Muchos han calificado el Cursillo como “un crucero del alma”. Lo seguro para todos es que Cursillos te permite descubrirel amor de Cristo para compartirlo con los hermanos. Te esperamos! De Colores!

Christianity Cursillos Cursillos de Cristiandad

Marriages in Victory is a lay movement of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami for married couples who wish to enrich their faith and their commitment as spouses. The retreat is a weekend and it is open to couples who have few or many years of marriage, whether by the Catholic Church or civil authority.

“Therefore, a man leaves his father and mother to join his wife and the two become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).

La misión de Matrimonios en Victoria es la santificación del matrimonio y la familia, que es la célula fundamental de la sociedad y de la Iglesia. Es una obra de Dios que tiene como finalidad principal promover la espiritualidad conyugal en la que los matrimonios descubren a Cristo como fuente de toda gracia. Sostenidos por la Palabra de Dios, por los sacramentos y la vida de oración, los matrimonios se esfuerzan por alcanzar la santidad.

“Por eso el hombre deja a su padre y a su madre para unirse a su esposa y los dos llegan a ser como una sola

persona” (Génesis 2:24)

Emmaus Experience for Men and Women

Experiencia de Emaus para Hombres e Mujeres

The Emmaus retreat program is a diocesan-approved weekend retreat that takes place three times a year. It’s open to all men and women ages 20 or older seeking to grow in their relationship with Christ regardless of their present level of faith and practice. The purpose of the weekend is to give adults the opportunity to reflect upon themselves, their relationship with God and their community.

Emmaus is a Catholic retreat program that is open to people of all Christian faiths. It provides its participants the opportunity to reconnect with what matters and share their faith journeys in a loving community. Time is set aside for personal reflection on our lives, our world and our God.

El programa de retiros Emaus es un retiro de fin de semana aprobado a nivel diocesano que toma lugar tres veces al año. Está abierto a todos los hombres y mujeres de 20 años de edad o mas que están buscando crecer en su relación con Cristo independientemente de su nivel y práctica de fe.

El propósito de el fin de semana es darle a los adultos la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre sí mismos, su relación con Dios y su comunidad. Emaus es un programa de retiro Católico que está abierto a personas de todas denominaciones. Provee a los participantes la oportunidad de reconectar con lo que tiene importancia y compartir su camino de fe en una comunidad de amor. Se separa el tiempo para reflexionar de manera personal en sus vidas, su mundo y su Dios.

Altar Servers MonaguillosAltar Serving provides boys and girls, the opportunity to serve at God’s altar on Saturdays, Sundays, Holy days, and for special liturgical events. The requirements to join the ministry are to be at least in the 4th Grade or 10 years of age, must have received First Holy Communion, registered at our Parish, and be willing to serve God.

An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) is entrusted in distributing the Body and Blood of the Lord, whether it is at Mass, in a hospital or home for the sick and elderly.

By accepting this responsibility, you are to be an example of Christian living in faith and conduct. All who wish to be considered as a minister, must first be approved by our Pastor. After approval, you will have to take a special training class given by the Archdiocese of Miami and instruction as to the procedures we follow in our Parish. All ministers are required to purchase a robe, medallion and a set of ribbons.

A un Ministro Extraordinario de la Santa Comunión se le confía la distribución del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, ya sea en Misa, en el hospital o en las casas de los enfermos y envejecientes.

Aceptando esta responsabilidad, se compromete a ser un ejemplo de vida cristiana en fe y conducta. Todos los que deseen ser ministros, primero deben ser aprobados por el párroco. A lector proclaims the readings during the Holy Mass. Becoming a lector is a serious decision and commitment to your faith and parish since you are sharing your time and energy to the service of the Church. There are several steps to complete before becoming a lector and must have prior approval of our Pastor.

Any public event or celebration requires much behind-the-scenes activity. If the event is to have dignity and meaning there must be care and preparation.

The parish liturgy is the public event forming the very heart of the whole parish life. Everything that we do and are as a parish leads to and flows from the liturgical celebrations in the parish church.

The liturgy proclaims what we are as a parish and at the same time provides the foundation and the impetus for our working together and growing as a community of worship, or witness and of service. Because of its crucial role in parish life, the liturgy is a public celebration requiring considerable behind-the-scenes preparation if it is to fulfill its function.

That is where the Sacristans come in.

Cualquier evento público o celebración requiere mucha actividad detrás del escenario. Para que el evento tenga dignidad y sentido debe haber cuidado y preparación.

La liturgia parroquial es un evento público que forma el corazón mismo de la vida parroquial. Todo lo que hacemos y somos como parroquia nos lleva y sale de las celebraciones litúrgicas en la iglesia.

La liturgia proclama lo que somos como parroquia y al mismo tiempo provee la base y el ímpetu para nuestro trabajo juntos y nuestro crecimiento como una comunidad de adoración, de testimonio y servicio. We in the Music Ministry are blessed twice. Through the act of giving of our time and talent to provide music for the Lord, we are given the opportunity to enrich our own spiritual lives, as well as the spiritual lives of those in the parish community.

The Music Ministry plays a vital role in the life of the parish. We are primarily responsible for all of the music at the weekend Masses and other special liturgies.

El Ministerio de Música esta bendecido por partida doble. A través del acto de dar de nuestro tiempo y talento para proveer música para el Señor, se nos da la oportunidad de enriquecer nuestra propia vida espiritual, así como también la vida espiritual de otros en la comunidad parroquial.

El Ministerio de Música juega un papel importante en la vida parroquial. Somos principalmente responsables por toda la música durante las Misas del fin de semana y otras liturgias especiales.

The Hospitality Ministers/Ushers assist during the Holy Mass by orderly and efficiently accommodating all participating with the celebration of the Mass. Ushers welcome the parishioners as they come into the Church, they find seats, accommodate the disabled and bring the Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion to those who are not able to go to the altar, and much more. This service is an ideal way to demonstrate your commitment “to love and serve the Lord”. All are welcome to serve - young and old, male and female, married and singles.

Los Ministros de Hospitalidad/Ujieres atienden a los feligreses dando la bienvenida y manteniendo el orden durante la Santa Misa. Los ujieres dan la bienvenida a los parroquianos cuando llegan, les encuentran lugar, acomodan a los deshabilitados y conducen a los Ministros de la Comunión donde aquellos que no pueden ir hasta el altar y mucho mas. Este servicio demuestra un compromiso de “amar y servir al Señor.” Todos son bienvenidos a servir - jóvenes y adultos, hombres y mujeres, casados y solteros.

The Adult Choir currently sings for the 10:15am Mass each Sunday, and performs in special events such as our Christmas Concert, a special Lenten services, and sings in different venues in our community such as Heartland and St. Anne’s Nursing Homes. We are also in need of voices to sing for the Sunday 11:45am Mass.

El Coro de Adultos canta en la actualidad en la Misa de 10:15 am cada domingo, y actúa en efectos especiales como el Concierto de Navidad, servicios especiales de Cuaresma y canta en diferentes lugares de nuestra comunidad como en Heartland y St. Anne’s Nursing Homes. The parish children’s choir meets seasonally and sings for our parish Christmas Concert, Christmas Eve Mass, and for Lent and Easter.

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the visionary Ida Peerdeman in Amsterdam, Holand from 1945 to 1959.

On February 11, 1951 she presented under a new title “I am the lady, Mary, Mother of all Nations” on May 1st, 1996 the Bishop of Harlem-Amsterdam, Bishop Bomer and his auxiliary Bishop Punt, authorized in an official declaration, the veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary as “Our Lady of all Nations”.

Desde 1945 a 1959 la Santísima Virgen se apareció en Amsterdam, Holanda a la vidente Ida Peerdeman.

We have Holy Hour the second Thursday of each month in the chapel after the daily 7 pm Mass. The Virgin Mary appeared to six children on June 24, 1981 in Medjugorje, Bosnia Herzegovina, a country dominated by atheistic communism.

This is the central point of her message, in a world that increasingly moves away from true peace, as only Jesus can give. The petition of Mary in Medjugorje is simple and clear: prayer, fasting, confession, the Eucharist and the reading of the Holy Bible are unfailing paths to find true conversion.

Tenemos Hora Santa el segundo jueves de cada mes en la capilla después de la Misa de 7 pm. La Virgen Maria apareció a seis niños el 24 de junio, 1981 en Medjugorge, Bosnia, un país dominado por el ateísmo comunista.

The members of this Group intercede for the sins of all humanity and for the atonement of the sins of the whole world, asking always for the intercession of our Blessed Mother. We meditate and pray close to the Lord at the time of His agony in the garden of Gethsemane during His Passion.

We pray for the holiness of priests, for vocations to the priesthood and committed laity. We also offer workshops, which are announced in the Sunday bulletin. Schoenstatt is an apostolic movement of renewal, born in the bosom of the Church and founded by Father Joseph Kentenich, on October 18, 1914. It’s spiritual center is the shrine of Schoenstatt.

Here in Miami we invite the pilgrimage of all Catholics to the Redlands, 22800 S.W.187 Ave., Miami FL 33170. Open daily from 9am to 7pm, where the Marian Sisters of the community of Schoenstatt live.

Prayer Group is a distinctive component of the Charismatic Renewal consisting of a group of people that meet weekly in prayer, to worship God and buildup each other in the same Spirit. We share prayers of worship in a voluntary manner and we give testimonies that show us the power of God in today’s world.

This group is assisted by the Charismatic Renewal and gives initiation courses or retreats that we call “Life in the Spirit Seminars” where the Holy Spirit comes over the believer so that he or she would have a personal encounter with Jesus and His mystical body which is the Church.

The purpose of this ministry is to evangelize and bring the Sacred Heart of Jesus to your home for consecration. We also pray for children who are terminally ill with cancer.

The mission of the Haitian Charismatic Group Salve Regina is to evangelize through the organization of different annual religious education conferences. The group also holds religious and social fundraising events throughout the year (Way of the Cross Pilgrimage, religious field trips, and other).

In addition, Salve Regina participates in different charismatic conventions that are held in Miami and other states.

La misión del Grupo Carismático Haitiano Salve Regina es evangelizar a través de la organización de diferentes conferencias anuales de educación religiosa. La particularidad de la espiritualidad de la Divina Voluntad es aprender a vivir en la Divina Voluntad, no solo haciendo la voluntad de Dios sino hacerla reinar en nosotros. Divine Will Divina Voluntad

There is a tradition to venerate the Lord of Miracles. This devotion goes back more than 200 years. We celebrate each year in the month of October with a Mass and procession with the image in the parish. The first Friday of the month we pray the Rosary in the Lord of Miracles Chapel.

Este es una tradición de venerar al Señor de los Milagros. Esta devoción tiene mas de 200 años. Celebramos cada año en el mes de octubre con la Misa y Procesión con la Imagen en la parroquia. El primer viernes de cada mes tenemos el Rosario en la Capilla del Señor de los Milagros.

The goal of the Prayer and Life Workshop, founded by Father Ignacio Larrañaga is to progressively introduce the faithful to a life of prayer firmly based on the Word of God through various methods of prayer.

The Prayer and Life Workshop is an instrument of evangelization in the Church which leads the participants to recover their inner peace and loving relationships by means of an intensive practice of faith and surrender, overcoming complexes and traumas. The Workshops are offered twice per year, with a duration of 12 weeks.

La meta de Talleres de Oración y Vida, fundada por el Padre Ignacio Larrañaga es introducir progresivamente a los fieles a una vida de oración basada firmemente en la palabra de Dios a través de varios métodos de oración.

El taller es un instrumento de evangelización en la Iglesia que lleva a los participantes a recuperar su paz interna y relaciones por medio de una práctica intensiva de la fe y de entrega, superando complejos y traumas. Los talleres se ofrecen dos veces por año, con una duración de12 semanas.

We focus on the urgency of a new spiritual revival, fighting against the religious indifference that the world lives in, with a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. We work to be obedient disciples to learn from Him to be instruments of the Holy Spirit, so that Jesus is found, followed, loved, proclaimed and share with all.

Our goal is that all can discover God from personal encounter with Jesus, held once a year, so all can change their lives, by taking formation and growing spiritually in sharing Prayer and the Word in the weekly meetings; loving one another with the same love that Christ gave us, one spirit, one mind, one heart, Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal life.

Nos concentramos en la urgencia de un nuevo resurgir de la espiritualidad, combatiendo el enfriamiento religioso que se vive en el mundo a partir de un encuentro personal con Jesucristo vivo. Trabajamos para ser discípulos dóciles para aprender de Él a ser instrumentos del Espíritu Santo, para que Jesucristo sea encontrado seguido, amado, anunciado, y comunicado a todos.

The servant of God Saint John Paul II said that the Neocatecumenal way takes to the live of lay people, to families, and parish communities, the richness of vocations to the priesthood, religious life, revealing as “an itinerary of catholic formation valid for the society and the actual times”

El Camino Neocatecumenal se concreta en una síntesis catequética fundada sobre el trípode ‘Palabra de Dios – Liturgia – Comunidad’ ayudando a las personas a crecer en caridad con los demás, crecer en el conocimiento de la Fe y establecer una relación con Jesucristo. Vivido en pequeñas Comunidades llamadas a vivir en humildad, sencillez y Alabanza como la Familia de Nazaret, formado por personas de edad, condición social, mentalidad y cultura diferentes, que dentro de la actual estructura de la parroquia y en comunión con el obispo, reviven en plenitud su bautismo.

The mission of the St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry is to provide non-perishable grocery items to help needy families in our parish. Throughout the year, canned goods are deposited by parishioners into donation bins, which are located at every entrance of the church. There are also two biannual food drives, one in the spring and one in the fall, where we received contributions our parish family and generous donations from local companies and organizations.

The fall food drive also coincides with the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Basket distribution, which feed 250 parish families in need. Volunteers of all ages contribute their time and talent to the pantry throughout the year by helping sort and distribute items.

La misión de la Despensa de Alimentos San Francisco de Asís es proveer de alimentos no perecederos para ayudar a las familias necesitadas de nuestra Parroquia. A través del año, comida enlatada es depositada por parroquianos en los depósitos de donación que están localizados en las entradas de la Iglesia. También tenemos dos jornadas de colección de alimentos al año una en la primavera y otra en otoño, recibimos donaciones de la familia parroquial así como también de compañías y organizaciones.

La colecta de otoño coincide con la distribución anual de canastas para el día de Acción de Gracias, la cual alimenta a 250 familias necesitadas de la parroquia. Voluntarios de todas las edades contribuyen con su tiempo y talento a la Despensa para clasificar, organizar y distribuir alimentos.

F.A.I.T.H., Feeding and Inspiring The Homeless. Our purpose is to feed, clothe and care of our brothers and sisters who live in the streets of Miami-Dade in the Downtown area.

We prepare sandwiches, collect and sort clothing and distribute. We meet every Saturday in the kitchen to prepare meals and then feed the homeless.

The mission of the St. Martin de Porres Ministry is to promote the faith in our Lord through the act of delivering joy and happiness to the sick and elderly in nursing homes in which the majority of residents have been abandoned by their family and/or friends.

We make the visit once a year and only have meetings in the weeks leading up to the date, preparing everything we will be using as instruments of love. The visit begins with a live concert in different languages and genres. Feast Day: November 3rd.

La misión del Ministerio de San Martin de Porres es promover la fe en nuestro Señor a través del acto de dar alegría y felicidad a los enfermos y ancianos en los asilos en los cuales la mayoría de residentes han sido abandonados por su familia y/o amistades.

Baptist Hospital EMHC is a ministry consisting of certified Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, who assist and perform their duties under the direction of the Pastoral Care Department of Baptist Hospital. Those duties are the visitation of and distribution of the Holy Communion to Catholic patients staying at Baptist Hospital. Certified Eucharistic Ministers of the Holy Communion also take Communion to the sick at home as part of their ministry.

We are committed to respond to all issues with respect to the dignity of each person seeking to support our brothers and sisters who are most defenseless and most vulnerable: the unborn, the elderly, the incurable ill, the marginalized, the children and the youth.

Nueva Vida is a movement within the Archdiocese of Miami that believes those who suffer from the disease of addiction and codependency can find healing through the love of God. We bring families together to share, and thereby bring both sides of addiction together, and help the families understand the root of the disease.

Through meetings and retreats, you will hear others share their experiences. You can also get answers to questions on how to deal with the disease, and restore your family. Nueva Vida English hosts one-day and weekend retreats that focus on every aspect of addiction and codependency.

Medical and psychological professionals are invited to share their expertise on the effects of the disease. Nueva Vida offers spiritual direction and companionship. This is the process of accompanying people on a spiritual journey with the goal of growing closer to God (or the sacred, the holy, or a higher power).

Nueva Vida es un movimiento dentro de la Arquidiócesis de Miami que cree que aquellos que sufren de una enfermedad de adicción y codependencia, pueden encontrar sanación a través del amor de Dios. Unimos familias para compartir, y a partir de ahí unir las dos caras de la adicción, ayudando a las familias a entender la raíz de la enfermedad. Mediante reuniones y retiros escuchará las experiencias que los demás compartirán. Además puede obtener respuestas a sus preguntas en cómo manejar la enfermedad y restaurar su familia.

Christian Formation is for those children between the grades of Kindergarten and 11th Grade, of our parish, who attend public schools and want to grow in their faith. The students attend classes during the week or Saturday mornings to break open the Word of God, learn our faith traditions, receive the Sacraments and discover God’s work in our lives.

Children are assigned to classes with their peers under the direction of a faith-filled catechist who are volunteers who have expressed the desire to serve God through this catechetical ministry.

Formación Cristiana es para aquellos niños entre los grados de Kindergarten y 11avo grado, de nuestra Parroquia, que atiende escuelas publicas y quieren crecer en su fe. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process for welcoming adult newcomers into the Roman Catholic Church. The main purpose of this rite is to assist prospective Catholics in their journey to become active members of the church community through discussions of the teachings of the Church, prayer, reflection, study of Scriptures and participation with the community in various activities. Sponsors are needed to share faith and fellowship with the candidates and catechumens.

El proceso de preparación para adultos es un proceso para recibir los adultos que vienen nuevos a la Iglesia Católica y Romana. Young Adult Professionals - A group for single, married, divorced between the ages of 30-39. A group made specially for you to grow and walk in faith. The word ‘Ultreia’ (also ‘ultrella’ or ‘ultreya’) comes from Latin and it means ‘beyond’. When walking The Way of St.

James (El Camino de Santiago de Compostela), Ultreia is another pilgrim salute like the more popular ‘Buen Camino!‘ Buen Camino’ literally means ‘have a good journey, a good Camino’, the meaning of ‘Ultreia!’ goes a bit deeper, implying encouragement to keep going, reaching ‘beyond’, heading onwards.

So join and learn how to have Christ in all aspects of your life and how to walk with Him, having Him lead “the way” to your happiness and joy.

Un grupo para solteros, casados, divorciados entre las edades de 30-39. Un grupo hecho especialmente para que usted crezca y camine en la fe. La palabra ‘Ultreia’ (también ‘ultrella’ o ‘ultreya’) proviene del latín y significa ‘más allá’.
