Little Sprogs es un curso de inglés diseñado especialmente para niños. Parte desde cero y llega hasta completar el nivel A2. El enfoque del curso está en la comunicación oral, de forma prioritaria, aunque se tratan también el listening, reading y writing. Desde el primer día se hace uso de revisiones sistemáticas para consolidar la materia.
Los niños se sumergen continuamente en vocabulario nuevo, que tienen que poner en práctica con el profesor o los compañeros de clase. A través de preguntas y respuestas van consolidando la competencia comunicativa y la fluidez.
El curso está dirigido a hispanoparlantes, por lo que se tratan especialmente los errores típicos de estos estudiantes. Cada palabra está traducida y acompañada de la transcripción fonética para asegurar una pronunciación óptima.
Los libros están divididos en diez divertidas lecciones con ejercicios y “listenings” al final de cada uno, que se completan con un test cada cinco lecciones para medir el progreso real de los alumnos. Además de las traducciones de las palabras en cada página, hay un glosario de todo el vocabulario inglés-español y español-inglés al final del libro.

Narrator: The next day the children have a science class with Terry

Narrator: Clare takes a long time in the toilet so Terry goes to look for her
James: This is our opportunity; he keeps it in his drawer under his desk.Ben: Ok, here it is. I’ve got it!
Narrator: Suddenly the door opens.
Terry: What are you doing there, Ben?Ben: ahm…I was sharpening my pencil, sir. The bin is under your desk.Terry: Ok, quickly please. We have a lot to do.
Narrator: The children meet Mr Higgins the next day at the camp.
Mr Higgins: Well done children, you have found everything we need.
Clare: What shall we do now Mr Higgins.Mr Higgins: Now, we wait. The alien needs to build the intergalactic time compressor.Ben: How long will that take?Alien: A long time, I don’t take. Patient, you must be.
Narrator: Terry the teacher noticed something was missing from his drawer
Terry: I can’t believe it, somebody has taken the Sodious Nitro Flux. Why would anybody want that, unless they want to make a…. rocket!! Those children are up to something…
ring, ring
Mary: Hello?Terry: Hello, is that Mary at the police station?Mary: Yes, it is. Hello Terry. How can I help you?Terry: I think I know who has the alien.Mary: You do??? Tell me! This is a top secret mission!
Narrator: Mary, Terry and James’ mother went together in the police car to find the 3 children.
Mother: I think I know where they could be.Mary: Where?Mother: They have a camp near the old wood factory where they spend some afternoons.Terry: It’s a good place to start.Mary: I can’t believe it, I’ve look around the whole town for the alien, but I didn’t think about the old wood factory.
Narrator: They arrive at the factory and see the camp
Terry: There it is, come on. We might be too late!Mary: Oh no! They have gone.Mother: Maybe they have taken the alien to his broken spaceship.Mary: Good idea. Let’s go, quickly!

Narrator: Meanwhile, the children arrive at the place where the spaceship crashed.
Alien: My spaceship broken it is. Some time I will need.Ben: We don’t have much time. I can hear a police car and it’s coming this way.James: They must be looking for us. You have to be fast!Mr Higgins: I will distract the police while you are fixing the spaceship.Clare: Thank you, Mr Higgins.
Narrator: Mr Higgins stands in the middle of the road and tries to stop the police car.
Mr Higgins: Stop…Stop. Sorry you can’t go any further.Mary: This is ridiculous, why not?Mr Higgins: I have been checking with my Geiger counter and there is a large amount of toxic radioactive gas coming from the spaceship.Terry: mmm… where are my students Mr Higgins?Mother: Yes, where is my son? He’s only a teenager!Mary: Get out of the way!!
Narrator: The police car goes past Mr Higgins; they don’t believe him. When they arrive, they see the spaceship slowly going up into the air and the children looking up.
Ben: We did it!James: The alien can finally go home.Clare: Goodbye our little alien friend. Have a good journey home.Mr Higgins: Well done! Mission accomplished!
Narrator: Nobody moved, everybody was looking up at the spaceship. They could see the alien in one of the windows.
Alien: Helped me you have. Good humans you are. A present from my planet I give.
Narrator: Suddenly, there was an illuminous green crystal in James’ hand.
James: What’s this?Alien: Help me you have, help you I will. The crystal can help your planet. Mr Higgins: I can’t believe it. That is an intergalactic energy crystal. It can help our technology advance much faster. Cars won’t need petrol any more!James: Thank you.
Narrator: Everybody waved their hands at the alien while it disappeared into the clouds.
Mary: You children have made a lot of people worriedChildren: Sorry Mary..Mary: But, under the circumstances, I am not going to take you to the police station. All you wanted to do was help the poor alien.Terry: And now we have a crystal from outer space which can change the way we live.Mr Higgins: That’s true. I think these children should have a medal.
Narrator: The next day the children were on the front page of the newspaper and they were on BTV International News Channel.
Ben: …And the alien gave us a crystal from space. Clare: We can stop contaminating our planet now.James: And the alien went safely home to his planet.Mr Higgins: These children are heroes
Narrator: People around the planet celebrated and the children became famous. On Monday the children were in their science class again.
