Perfil
 Me gusta el medio ambiente…
¿Dónde yo soy especial? ¿En qué tema puedo hacer una contribución?
 RBV – ¿Qué recursos tengo?
 RRHH y Medioambiente
Puntos fuertes de mi GI, sinergias.
Campo pequeño, fácil de dominar, relevante y aún incipiente.
 No es mainstream.
 Emprendimiento sostenible
 Experiencia y curiosidad personal

Micro level
Why environmental entrepreneurs pursue
opportunities that do not offer the higher
economic rents?
Do environmental entrepreneurs differ from
conventional entrepreneurs?
Individual trade-offs between green values and
profit-making to grow their new ventures.
How environmental entrepreneurs contagious
other members of the organization in decision-
making.
Which factors enhance task performance when
recognizing, environmental opportunities
(frequency, number, ect.)
Meso level
Which organizational characteristics or structure
foster environmental intrapreneurship?
What organizational paradigms trigger an EE
orientation?
To what extent are established organizations too
myopic to perceive environmental opportunities?
How different are growth processes between
entrepreneurship companies and established
companies?
The impact of an environmental entrepreneurial
orientation on strategies and decisions.
Study those entrepreneurial green companies
that end up in failures and extract causes of
failure.
Development of a sustainable entrepreneurial
orientation on organizations.
New products, technologies, service,
organizational sustainable innovations.
Environmental performance (waste reduction,
CO2 emissions, etc.)
Macro level
Under what conditions do we expect to see
entrepreneurs pursue environmental ventures
rather than incumbents firms?
Which institutional factors motivate or constraint
EE?
Differences of institutional factors in developing
vs. developed countries to trigger EE.
The effect of institutional factors on growth
strategies.
How and which public policies trigger
entrepreneurial ventures to follow more
proactive or reactive strategies, innovative?
The role of EE in larger processes of
environmental change in societies and industries:
creation and modification of institutions,
stimulation of technologies, et.
Impact on industry/country environmental
performance or natural capital
What are the limits or unintended consequences
of EE?
Multi-level
Interaction between psychological traits,
organizational characteristics and contextual
factors on EE or combinations of two dimensions.
Multi-level theories to explain the emergence of
the phenomenon.
The effect of individual values, organizational
culture and the cultural context on decision-
making and growth strategies.
Multi-level theories to explain the evolution,
survival or failure of EE.
Multiple processes occurring at different level of
analysis influencing the outcomes of EE.
Understanding the links between upward and
downward causation in multi-scale processes.
EMPIRICAL RESEARCH GENERAL OPPORTUNITIES
Multi-level research design, methodologies and analysis for the three research themes.
Operationalization of conceptual dimensions and development of measures at across-
levels.
Robust-large scale quantitative studies.
Temporal considerations within EE by conducting longitudinal studies.
Connection of EE literature with organizational and natural environmental research.
Multi-level investigations in the three research blocks (3-level and 2-level)
Comparisons between new ventures and incumbents regarding the antecedents,
process and outcomes across levels.

Hipótesis del estudio
H1: Inducement policies will have a greater association with environmentalperformance of the electricity industry in that country than impositionpolicies.
H2: Entry by renewable energy entrepreneurs will be positively associatedwith the environmental performance of the industry.
H3: The effect of inducement policies on environmental performance willbe mediated by the entry of renewable energy entrepreneurs.

Hipótesis del estudio
H4: Country level regulations favoring renewable energy will have agreater positive impact on the environmental performance of theelectrical power industry in the presence of higher levels ofenvironmental cultural values in that country.
H5: An increase in number of renewable entrepreneurs in a countrywill have a greater positive impact on the environmental performanceof the electrical power industry in the presence of higher levels ofenvironmental cultural values in that country.
