En nuestro grupo de investigación se aisló de algunas bignoniaceaes, compuestos del tipo furanonaftoquinonas, las cuales fueron

DATOS ESPECTROSCOPICOS
ENSAYOS DE ACTIVIDAD ANTIMALARICA
•La actividad de estos compuestos fue determinada utilizando el método HRP2 que se basa en la medición de la proteína rica en histidina (HRP2) producida por P. falciparum durante su desarrollo.
•Los experimentos se realizaron con la cepa 7G8 (Brasil) de Plasmodium falciparum resistente a cloroquina.
•Las concentraciones fueron ensayadas por triplicado
ACTIVIDAD ANTIMALARICA
De acuerdo con la IC50 obtenida para cada extracto se consideró que aquellos con IC50 menor o igual que 5 g/mL presentan muy buena actividad antiplasmodial, entre 5 y 10 g/mL presentan buena actividad y mayor que 10 g/mL se consideran inactivos (Deharo, et al., 2000).

CONCLUSIONES
•Se obtuvo cuatro análogos furanonaftoquinónicos: dos dihidrofuranonaftoquinonas y dos furanonaftoquinonas.
•Los ensayos de actividad mostraron que los compuestos tienen muy buena actividad antimalárica siendo resultados promisorios.
•Se recomienda hacer pruebas de efecto hemolítico y citotoxicidad.
•Realizar los ensayos de actividad utilizando otro método u otros
métodos.
